Tank not doing well, any help greatly appreciated.

Just checked all pumps and everything is fine and in order. gave me a chance to clean it out with some vinegar.
Added prime, rox carbon, and skimming wet at the moment. Am also going to send water to Triton.
Question I had, if I made fresh ro/di 0ppm water and added a little prime to it, will this effectively make the water safe?

It should. I use pure sodium thiosulfate for all of my tanks, FW and reef. I typically use about 4-6 crystals for 50 gallons of water since I don't like to keep stock solutions of the stuff around long. Good information is here

Good luck.

Can get the strips @ BRS too: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/insta-test-free-total-chlorine-strips-lamotte.html

Also added a filter for it: https://www.amazon.com/SpectraPure-...11565&sr=8-8&keywords=chloramine+filter+block

Finally, I do add prime to each RO batch I make.

The strips are nice, so that you can test the water each step of the way. before filters are used, after filters, before prime, after prime.

It'll give you a good idea of what has the most impact on it as well as when you need to replace the filter.

I'm having trouble connecting the "barcode" which I don't see on the Triton-de site.
Am I missing something here? I registered and created an account, have an id, but don't know what to put in the connect barcode page...

Just wanted to put a conclusion to the situation.
I've been swamped with work, but was at least able to install a chloramine block in my ro/di and used some prime in all new water. Death seems to have stopped and polyp extension is good. Corals are slowly coming back and coloration normalizing. Keeping my fingers crossed.

nice to hear!

after several chloramine complaints, I bought some test strips.. looks like my city water is ok.

lmk if anyone wants to grab couple test strips to test out their water.. I'll never use all these

yeah, I'll take one.

Yep -- Chloramines. Always Chloramines lately. Either way, glad you bought a Chloramine block. The PenTak is really good.

Personally I'm wanting to add an extra Single Stage so I can move my sediment filter there and put a 2nd Chloramine filter where the Sediment filter was.
