Tank size for Carpet Nem

My experience is only with Haddonis, so keep that in mind.

If you have another tank that you could move it too, a 33 cube would be the smallest to start with. If not, a 40 breeder would be the min, though would think a 58/65 would be better.

My 33 cube has a Haddoni in it (( and a pair of clowns )) and it is taking up pretty much the whole tank.

And besides size, Haddonis will produce a decent amount of waste that will have to be dealt with.

The waste is the big issue IMHO. They don't need much room. Just enough to spread out and soak up some sun. They need lots of water though. If you can install a LARGE sump, you can keep one in a relatively small tank.

how about a 75 gal with 30 gal sump, but this will also house sps and other corals. im thinking that would be a problem. what do you guys think?

I know someone in NJ that has a lime green in a 110 gallon and it reaches front to back (18") usually. BTW, this aquarist has had this carpet for about 16 yrs. It currently has a pair of amphiprion sebae that have been living in it for about 8 yrs. and lay eggs constantly. The female is huge and they have lost all yellow so they are just black and white.
