Tank size with Fish

Dave why don't you try adding more nassarius snails? I have added about 50 in my 120 and since then I have no red slime in my tank.

72 GAL

(2) ocellarius clowns (paired)
(2)Helfrichi firefish (paired
(1)Yashi goby/pistol shrimp paired, yashi is a male- loooking to obtain a female to pair them up
(1) Pygmy angel (c. argi) At some point Id like to have a trio in attempt to breed.
(1)1 blue hippo that I traded for a alantic blue tang (regret the trade and most likely will look to trade/ sell the hippo.
(1) bright red serpent star underated, imo and a good scavenger

There all pretty much my favorites. In general I like small fish and gobies.

Oops I forgot 2 in my lps tank..I have 2 adult engineer gobies that were suppose to be a pair, but never hang out together lol

Hmmm....Seeing this thread makes me think that my 90g may be stocked to as much as it can handle. I didn't think so, and would love to hear some feedback, as I was thinking of adding a few more fish:

Currently:
(2) Ocellaris Clownfish (pair)
(1) Blue-Green Chromis
(1) Diamond Goby
(1) Female Bellus Angelfish
(3) Pajama Cardinalfish
(1) Exquisite Wrasse
(1) Midas Blenny
(1) High Fin Red Banded Goby / Pistol Shrimp Pair

This tank did have another Blue-Green Chromis, and a Yellow Tang, but recently they both demised. The Chromis was originally a pair with the other Chromis, but the one started picking on the other, which eventually took it's toll. The Yellow Tang was perfectly healthy with no signs of anything being wrong with it when the lights went out one night, but I found it dead, stuck to one of my Vortechs the next morning (water quality was OK, but I did a 40 gallon water change after I removed it from the tank).

Anyway, I was thinking of adding a pair of Firefish, a Kole's Tang, and then maybe as the very last fish a Zoster Butterfly. But, after seeing everyone else's stocking list, I'm wondering if I can/should add anything at all!

As for my favorites...the Bellus is the prettiest, but the Diamond Goby is my favorite. I could watch it dig and sift sand for hours...

my 90g has:
1-yellow tang
1-hippo tang
2-maroon clowns
5-kupang damsels
2-mccosker wrasses
1-potters leopard wrasse
1-midas blenny

When you tried more than one Firefish, did one harass the other? Did you buy them in supposed "pairs", or were they just random fish?

Just curious...if you're purchased "pairs" and one ended up harassing the other, then I very well may end up only buying one...

they always came from the same tank at the lfs,i would get 3 or 4 and they would slowly
dwindle to 1.mostly due to carpet surfing,i think they might chase one another .
never bought them as pairs.

Hmm Interesting thread - Not sure how to really size fish since they all relative so I will try to use some units.

125 RR: Reef Primarily (GBTA, RBTA, Mushrooms, Various polyps, and 3 large Tridacna Clams)
6" Hippo Tang
6" Twin Bar Rabbit Fish
5" Purple Tang
5" Lavender Tang
4" Female/ 3" Male spawning Melonapus Clown pair
3" 6 Line Wrasse
3" Algae Blenny

90 FOWLR - Ricordea and Various Mushroom Rocks
4" Vlamingi Tang
4" Blue Throat Trigger
5" Yellow Tang
3x 2.5" Percula Clowns
2.5" Oscellaris Clown (must have been mixed in the bunch I bought as Perculas)
1.5" YellowTail Blue Damsel
2" Algae Blenny

Probably all at it's limit somewhat but usually haven't added much in a long time. Many of my fish have been with me for over 8 years.
