Oh, and make sure all equipment is sterilized and dried for at least 24 hours before the next transfer. I typically give the equipment a 24 hour soak in bleach (aquarium just gets a wipe-down with bleach, then rinse and towel dry), then let it air dry for a day. Being in Texas ensures lots of hot sunny days to speed along the drying process.![]()

Do the tanks/equipment have to be sterilized with bleach between transfers? Or is rinsing and wiping everything down, then allowing it to dry sufficient?
