Tank2379 60G RR Cube Build

It's there looks blended in at the end before the elbow...lol

I thought that was your return. Is that your drain? I'm confused about how the plumbing is supposed to work with the unrestricted T prior to the fuge plumbing, isn't there a potential for little to no water to make it to the fuge? I was talking about a ball valve on the T.

The T is to split off the 2 chambers- Overflow section where the skimmer is at and the Refugium Chamber where the Ball Valve is headed, don't want to much flow going to the fuge so I'll dail it down if I have to about 90% of the flow will be in the chamber seaction of the skimmer- I had it setup similar to the 72G...

Filled up last night- ran a test with the return line when I first started it the noise was horrible and the water kept rising then lowering really fast with a loud Gurgle sound- but I forgot to make a hole on the stand pipe noise stop and water started flowing freely and consistantly, no more noise. Anyhow it got quite, kinda too quite. There was a small leak in the return but I did not clamp it down tight enough took care of that issue and about 20 mins later check again no leaks to be detected.

The Tunze Silence return pump 1073.020 was very silent and I am happy with the purchase I also did not need to dial down the return and it's pumping up the right amount of water that is needed. I also fired up the lights for the first time just to see how it is going to look- like the shimmer effect which my daughter pointed out right away. Any how a couple more pics

filled her up with the garden hose go thing its right outside my window so it was easier to just fill it with that.

Update: No update just need to keep this up to date as possible, I removed the freshwater last night emptied and dryed everything- I was going to start RO/DI water but I hit a stump while putting all new filters in my RO unit I want to replace the RO- Membrane just to make sure there is not going to be any issues with Algae later on- But while trying and trying and trying with all my strength I could not remove the cap what so ever from the Membrane housing- I guess having it on for over 3 years can probabaly be the problem...lol...

Anyhow I will try again tonight- I am finally going to clean up my Skimmer since it's been sitting in Vinegar for the past couple days-I think it's clean enough now...lol.. The weekend is hear so I will hopefully get more stuff done and get the Aquascaping going... Until then Happy Reefing

Thanks Gus- I may have to look into it- Luckily me and the manager of the building have been long time friendship and I can get access to all his tools I might have to hit him up for a pair... :) Thanks

Hey Tank,

I don't think you mentioned what type of bulbs you're using on your MH fixture? I really like that color in that one picture. I'm trying to compare different bulbs right now for when I replace the 10k DE's I have now, which are way too white...

Thanks
Eric

My bad so much equipment sometimes I just forget- It's a SE Radium 20K Bulb- I was always a Blue guy and I like the color spectrum that it puts out.

Today I made some progress I finish putting together a box canopy open top- don't want to close it to relieve it from the heat, everything is bolted to the box with washer and nuts very sturdy setup and works perfect.... I also Added some sand and did a little aquascaping this is just the first round I still have two huge pieces that I need to rinse thru RO water... Anyhow are some pics of the progress...

More to come next will be filling with water...

Anyone know where I can get a new RO/DI faucet attachment at? I can't make RO/DI without it? I know BRS has them, but does anyone know if HD or Lowes or maybe Ace hardware has them available?

I'm not sure about the faucet adapters but I was having the same problem finding a laundry outlet/garden hose outlet adapter. If you have a laundry outlet or a garden outlet you can find the adapter at ACE or Lowes right by the garden hose stuff. Maybe HD and Menards have them too(most likely). GL

Maybe for reference: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1981719

The seal on My adapter is cracked and not sealing properly so it shoot water out from all angles...lol but it's 3 years old and alot of use from it so I think it's time to replace... Anyhow I don't have a garden hose adapter..

I love your aquascape! Mine is basically very similar but the center part rises almost to the top of the tank. It makes for great caves and crevices for everyone to cruise through all day.

How much rock is that?

Thanks- I still have two huge pieces of rock I need to put in and it's not a completed aquascape, I don't want to over run it with rock need room for corals to grow.. :-)
