Tanks that you can see from both sides

I want to put a tank on a stand in the one room but be able to see it through the wall in the other room. Does anybody have any large tanks that are setup like that, I want to show my wife what I'm thinking about doing. Thanks.

I don't have one yet but I am working on it. There are alot of people here that do have them that way already.

Thanks for the reply; I'm looking for tanks that are double displays tanks with corals on both side’s front and back. Thinking of getting a 240 that is 60" x 36" x 25" with 6" of it inside the wall and the rest looking like a normal tank and stand. If that makes any senses.

My 150 you can see from both sides. One side is facing a hot tub and it is built in a huge slate enclosure and the other side is a viewing space in our bar. I can take some pics for ya if you want.

Thanks for the reply Mn. Reef crzy if you could a picture from both sides would be great. Thanks.

my cabinets arent in but you get the idea

I've got my 600 set up as a room divider. Here are pics of both sides. Good luck with your project!!!

My tank can be viewed from all sides, but it divides my sunroom nicely. This photo is about six months old. I need to take some new ones.

At the risk of going completely offthread, I am really intrigued with reefkeeper2's setup as it's similar to whatI'd like to do next. Do you realy need the supplemental lighting over sunlight

Thanks all for the replies beautiful tanks. I still having a hard time convincing my wife that cutting a 5' L x 2' H hole in the family room wall is a good idea. :(

tank log?

Your tank is simply beautiful. Is there more detailed "log" of your setup like a build thread or can you start one....please :) That way we don't all derail this thread.

The tank is now 15 months old and you can see the changes in that time by looking at the links AcroSteve posted (thanks!). There is lots of startup info in there too.
I just started using ozone and I'm really pleased with the results. I had used ozone in some of my first reef tanks and discontinued it thinking it wasn't doing much. Now I have a truley mixed tank with lots of softies, anemones and sps. I use carbon 24/7, but thought the ozone might get some organics the carbon missed. From the expansion of all the animals, especially polyp expansion of the sps, I can see that ozone is a definate plus for my tank.

Thanks to all, awesome tanks. Can some of you please give me some ideas on how your setups are plumbed? Is every thing right under the tank or is it a separate room. I'm thinking about plumbing every thing I can to the basement and setting up the sump there. I haven't ran that idea by the wife yet thou.
