TBS sand

I working on setting up my tank and I'm planning on having 2 returns for my closed loop in the bottom front glass facing towards the reef.

I have a 150H tank that has same footprint as a 120 and I'm trying to figure out how high 120 or 150 lbs of sand would be.

The sandbed calculater on this site says 150 lbs of sand will yield a 2.5" sandbed on a 48" x 24" tank. Assuming the sand ways 90lbs per cubic foot. Basically I just want to know how I can figure up how high 120lbs of sand would be in my tank.

Hope this makes sense because I think I'm even more confused now :)

You need 120# for a bed 1.25-1.5 inches deep, which is what you want so the critters can stir it...
