TDB's 320 SPS Tank

Thank you

What media do u using for Kalk Reactor ... Salt Brand ?

And Water Quality .. PO4 .. NO3 .. NO2 .. Carbon .. filter socks

Mrs Wedges Pickling Lime from Walmart.

Yes - 7 Iinch filter sock

BRS duel reactor 5 cups GFO for Phos

Biopellets - 1500 ml for N03 and N04 Avast reactor

Ebay Carbon 4 cups in Avast reactor

Refuge with live rock and sand. I cant keep Macro alive as the params are so low.

Currently I am using IO RC but will be switching to IO when I use up my final 3 200G Boxes.

Post your results online - Id be interested to see the difference between optics and opticless.

Will do, once I get a hold to a par meter. Was trying to borrow one from a local reefer but seems like I might end up buying one. On the bright side, it will help me in the future. Planning on a 300DD and might need 40° optics with that.

Keep in mind that the apogee does not register very well with the blue spectrum and you will need to make adjustments. My numbers appear low but I can tell you that I have great color at the sandbed in a 27" tank.

Here is the video. It is kind of on the blue side as it was shot at dawn. Ill upload another video at midday in the future.

Yes it is te SRO 5000 INT. It is an amazing skimmer. I replaced a bubble master and the SRO is so quiet and much more efficient. The SRO along with biopellets and lots of feeding pull tons of skimmate. I fitted it with a float switch where it shuts off and sends me an email when it is .75 full. Id recommend the skimmer.

Glad to hear. I picked up an XP5000-Ext last night.

How do you like the SRO calcium reactor? Very nice color selection.

I love it. I moved from two part to the CARX and never looked back. In my research everyone recommends GEO which for a 10 year old design plus was not a bad bet. However with the SRO I found that it had a better pump, fittings, more capacity, and thicker acrylic, integrated unions for the pump, self-feeding and cost less. With the course media, Neo Mag, carbon doser the SRO maintains my Alk, CA and MG stays perfect. I have the carbon doser and PH probe hooked to the apex and the reactor stays perfect at ph 6.5. Furthermore the Kalk through ATO keeps the tank ph at 8.4 to 8.2.

The only two issues I have with the reactor are:

1. with excess CO2 you can hear it hitting the impeller on the pump which for under tank installation can be noisy. This happens when my PH probe starts to drift higher and there is excess CO2 preassure in the reactor. I use it as a sign that the probe needs to be calibrated again.

2. It does not have a drain plug or Union Valves getting the pump off to clean is impossible.

Beautiful tank!

I'm really impressed with the equipment set up under the tank. I'm trying to do something similar but concerned with the space.

What clearance do you have between the top of the skimmer and the bottom of the tank? What height are your lights inside the canopy?

I'm thinking of getting the same skimmer and the internal height inside the stand is only 25.5"

Thanks,

Ceaar

I went with a 36" stand so I have plenty of room. The skimmer sits in the sump 8" up (15") baffles and I have at least 5 inches above the cup. I recommend a taller stand if you are putting the filter underneath.
