I am looking for the best place to buy base rock for a 180 galllon tank. I received a grant and currently have an established 55 G reef tank in my classroom. We had a parent donate a complete 180 G set up, stand, hood, wet/dry, etc, but now i need to fill it on a VERY tight budget. Any ideas? I am in Auburn, but will drive if i can find something.

Ive got couple really big pieces(basketball size maybe bigger) and some smaller pieces of Live Rock Im needing to get rid of (taking tank down)and would be willing to sell it for what I paid for it as dry rock $3lb or if you take it all Ill do $2.50 just guessing Id say I have around 100#s which would be less than 1/2 of retail. LMK

www.bulkreefsupply.com has some nice sales on dry rock. I got mine from there and was quite happy with it. I can give you a small piece of live rock to help seed your tank. I'm in Auburn too and will be happy to help you with anything you need.

I may have some cheap rock. Another reefer is cleaning it up for me (her butterfly loves Aiptastia, etc.). She had mentioned some interest in it, but if she decides not to take it, it'll be for sale cheap.

If you still need some let me know. I got a 100g tub full. Top layer is covered in coralline. I keep light on it and a skimmer in there as well.

I will sell it for about $3 per pound. I bought it thinking I might want to rescape or get a larger tank but neither has happened. Probably will downsize soon. 3ea 90g are just too much.
