Tell me your experience with Deepwater Aquatics DC Pumps

I purchased yesterday and Marine Depot states its the new controller. I emailed Deepwater and they said MD has not placed an order in a while so they believe its the old controller... we shall see in a week.

I ordered one from MD yesterday also. How can you tell the difference between the new and old controller?

New controller is in link. It has a digital read out. Old one has 3 buttons, up, down and Off/feed I believe.

New controller is a new pump aswell. You cannot use the new controller on any other pump. If I understood correctly, each controller is for that specific generation pump.
 
RD3 230 Flow pump will get you around 2800 GPH at 10' head. The RD3 230 Pressure pump will get you around 2700 GPH at 10' head. .



That's at 100%? Stupid question but just verifying.

How will the pump hold up to 100% power 24/7?

That is 100% but they would hold up just fine. There are lots of customers who have been running the RD3 230’s at full power since they were released more than 2 years ago and there haven’t been any issues. These are nothing like a typical DC pump because they run at high voltage but low current to the motor. There is no AC adapters or anything like that to fail. The motors actually run on AC voltage. Because of that, they tend to be much more reliable.

That's what I think. I am hoping the sales rep I spoke to is correct on MD not updating their picture.

My order was lost in mail, no questions new order sent out. Great people.

Pump arrived today. It's the old style. Sent Robert @ MD a PM. Waiting to hear back.

Robert is at Home Depot at the moment buying something for one of the office tanks but Johanna from our support team is issuing you a return merchandise authorization number now which will automatically generate an email that will be sent to you with instructions on how to send the item back. She will also be sending you a pre-paid FedEx shipping label so you will receive a full refund once the pump arrives back here. I sent the pump back via FedEx. I still haven't seen a refund. I sent it back on December 4th. I have the FedEx receipt.
