terminal phase male wrasses

i have been collecting wrasses for quite a while and am wondering what it is that defines a terminal phase male wrasse ? i have been told that they have basically become a supermale to the point that it is irreversable as far as sex is concerned . havent really found very much information on this subject and am always seeking knowledge . thanks and that was an awesome feminus wrasse earlier this week !
