That Fish Place/NCPARS Winter Event

It's a fine line between having enough space for vendors and crowding the regular swappers. There's only one solution....TFP needs to build a bigger room for us.

Anyway...I wasn't there the first few hours so I can only see by the photos how busy it got. By the time I got to the swap there was room for the vendors and it would have been nice, but don't forget..there are tons of people who came through that store that didn't come into the swap so the vendors did get that benefit too.

Has anybody tried that brine shrimp gel food yet? I tried it once and nobody seemed to like it...I'll see if they get a taste for it after a few tries, but I was curious if others had tried it yet.

And alas I couldn't afford the 3 for 1 salt deal by the time I was done so I had to settle for 1 bucket and a 20% off coupon.

And as for setting up tanks and not bags...That's great if you have the time and resources for a nice setup but it's tough to make frags happy being moved around and under crappy lighting. Not to mention me personally I don't like taking frags home since I don't have a full time frag rack in my setup at this point.

I tried it last night mixed feelings on this stuff .I dont know if I did it right I rinsed it off in a net before I put it in. Not much in there that looked like brine shrimp mostly mush.The fish did eat it

Of all the days to be so cold and have my car not start.... I'm bummed on all the frags that I missed out on by arriving so late -- I really appreciate those swappers that were willing and able to stay for the entire show. Chris, my blastos look incredible and were happily feeding within hours of being placed in my tank.

It was great to see the new Marineland LEDs up and running again & I am hopeful that the cubes will be on sale at TFP's anniversary sale, because I will be ready for one by then! As for the free food samples, I didn't receive any this time around but did get one at MACNA, and I found the food perfect for vacation feeding -- I could leave out just the amount needed on the dinning room table for my relative to feed to the fish -- if the food would have been in the freezer, I knew he would have forgotten to feed them!

As always, the NCPARS swap was great and the TFP employees were helpful. Great job.

lol i called my wife to ask how it was looking and she hung up on me sunday. I am going to order my ati fixture in the next 2 weeks then i will move it from smack under the 150 hqi... i figure i should blast it since he told me it was kept high up on a 400w It will be nice to have a frag for you finally... Everytime i had frags you already had one thats 17"

Your not suppose to rinse it. just put it in directly in the tank in little drops. My fish loved it. less messy than frozen.

I didn't rinse mine and I'm 0 for 2. I think a few fish tried it out, but the bulk of them seemed to spit it out right away. Friggin' picky fish. I'll try again in a day or two.

My fish are starting to warm up to the food now. It took a couple times. I had actually given up on the fish eating it and was trying to see if the stuff was any good for target feeding corals. Shawn's fish go NUTS for the stuff though

My fish didn't seem to care for it that much either. I didn't try the brine though, I went with the mix. I am also going to try target feeding my LPS with it. The only fish that seemed to eat it were my freshwater petricolas.
