Hi Melev just wanted to thank you for the suggestions especially with the sump, you were a great help and all the ideas worked out great. Again thanks Mark

when are your going to get the led hood 20k, i what to see the pictures bad, i was thinking about changing to that , but it a a little pricey compared to my 3 250W SEs.
So far looks great

mbaychuk - Congrats on the setup. Looks good. I have a similar tank but mine is going @ a snail pace compare to yours. I am running close to a year now and still no water in the tank:( . Hopefully in the next two months.

I agree with the previous post. An updated pic on the new lighting would be appreciated. I also interested in a seeing how your setup looks now that everything is up and running.

Do you have to throttle down the Dart pump so it doesn't overflow the tank? Wasn't sure if the AGA Mega Flow would handle the 3K+ flow rate. I plan to use Dolphin 3K or Dolphin 4700.

how is that sump work out for you?? i am plan to do a 40g tank sump like your but i was thinking to just do one baffle before the return section,,,what do you think??
ohh and how high is all your baffle?? and space ?? thanks

I got a 400w solaris tonight just unpacked will have pics soon. I also set up the sump with 3 baffles on the left and 3 baffles to the right and none in the middle to make a large refrugium. If you look at previous pics melev circle the one to take out and I did as per his suggestion and it works great, I have an external protein skimmer so didnt need extra baffles. I will have more pictures with 400w led solaris, Ill try for tomorrow if possible but Im leaving for 10 days, my wife is taking care of the tank. Ill try for more pics if not in about 10 days.

2 quick pics of 400w solaris-I will be suspending from canopy with black chain and mounting the power units in back of canopy

That's a beauty of a light fixture. I don't even know what one that size costs. I also didn't realize it needed several ballasts to run.

It needs 3 to run , and Im going to suspend it from the wood canopy with chains. The light it self comes with legs or two eye hooks in the top of the hood for suspending

I got the light from The Cultured Reef website. I think they have the cheapest price around, but solaris were back orderd took a while to get. Check out their pricing

If that is 72", all I can say is...

glad it was your wallet and not mine. You definitely have one of the cooler toys on the market. :)
