The 225.

Looks like a pretty good skimmer.

What is it that prompted you to buy that one as compared to others in it's same price range? (ie; Reef Octopus 6" Regal, ect)

I actually got this one used and its rated for up to 500+ gallons. The system I'm setting up is 220DT,220 sump, and 58g Mantis so I figured it would be perfect for my set up.

Now I just gotta get a calcium reactor and I'll be gtg!

Picked out and bought new flooring for the basement.

47 boxes.

It's a glazed porcelain tile that looks like mahogany wood that measures 6"x24"

Im going to be finishing the basement bath soon. Was looking at this tile, but I am worried that it will be super slick when wet. We have a hot tub in the basement, and when the porcelain gets wet, you can easily fall and put a crack in your ***.

So, does this have a good texture?

It does have a nice texture, although it would prolly be as slick as any ceramic when wet.

Ordered a couple wp25s and a hanna calc checker on the forums here so that'll bring me to two 40s, two 25s, and one 60. Should be enough flow.

Am happy about the hanna too, because I no longer have to count drops with salifert.

So the floor is taking a bit longer to lay than I thought but its coming along nicely I think.

Should get the 1st half of the basement done tomorrow but prolly wont get it grouted until monday so the mortar can dry. Will tackle the other half next weekend which involves breaking down the 220 and setting the new one up in its place.

That looks great! It has the wood look without any of the problems when it gets soaked with water.

Cute message in the dust

Thanks! Thats what I was going for. Jill wanted to get pergo but I knew better. I dont foresee the tank flooding but if it ever does the pergo would have been ruined but the porcelain will stay strong forever. It prolly cost twice as much as the pergo but I dont have to ever worry about replacing it.

Indeed.

I figure if I cant keep up with the bucket that needs to be emptied every 3-4 weeks Ive got more to worry about than the skimmeroverflowing . lolz

If something gets in the tank that makes the skimmer act up then that bucket could fill in minutes or hours when your not there not weeks.
