The 300 has begun

Here's the sump finished and leak tested. Also I started on my top off tank. Here's a couple pics.

I'll be buying my sand next weekend. I'll be leak testing the tank and plumbing some time this week. I can't wait to get this beast up and running. Just the funds is the issue at the time. I figure I'll be adding livestock late January early February.

stevo, congrats on the new project! its like dejavue? ;)
just thought i'd drop by and say hi.

Here's a few updated pics. I'm running my leak tests and have found a few. I have one I can fix and one is the OM 4-way. I have to order the updated magnetic drive for it. The tank is full of water and the overflows won't handle the return pumps power so I'm going to have to mod them by cutting the weirs out and use 1" perferated PVC to get more flow.

looks very nice!

where did you get that 180 degree 1 1/2 pvc?

can you post a picture of the mod regarding the 1 inch perforated pvc? interested to see how that works and the noise level, thanks

I made the 180 over my range top last night. It took about 15 minutes of heating to get it plyable. Just make sure if you do this, fill the pipe with sand to keep it from colapsing.

Once I do it I'l post pics. I just ordered the perforated PVC.

interesting, the heating process doesn't weaken the pvc by stretching and possibly thinning the outer curvature?

Man its looking great! You know, the house I bought has a perfect spot inset into the livingroom wall.... looks like its my turn for a Jesse/Red tank set up ;) You guys do some pretty sweet work on tanks! Excited to see it aquascaped!

Well traded in some of my Acans for some rock today. I have 145 lbs of rock so far. Which 28 lbs is live rock. The rest is dead rock. Here's a pic in my 75 gal tub.

Well thanks to Nick(SHARKBAITNC) for all the LR. I got about 100-150 lbs from him tonight. After putting it in with my other rock I doubled my total. So I might have enough rock for my tank now.
