Well with running the light over the tank for a little over a week now. I'm starting to get a diatom bloom already. The light is been running for around 12 hours a day. I took some paly's out of my 26 and threw them in and they opened right up. Now I need to get the canopy done.

It's still open. Remember the tank is 30" from front to back. The skimmer is my DIY build.

Give me some info and pictures. Do you think it can handle such a large tank?


I am changing my skimmer to use a Dart NW. It is currently running on one Ocean Runner 3700 and one Sedra 5000. It is not quite enough to handle my fish load.

Here's some more pictures of the way the rock is in the tank. Lots of room for fish to swim and corals to grow.

Another thing is I got 2 of my 3 lights working. I just need to get a cord for the 3rd ballast. It's set up temp for now until I get my canopy built.
