Don't you love the Lumenarcs? I have one (w/ XM10K over a 4' x 2' holding tank, and it is actually brighter and nearly as good coverage as two 250W DE Phoenix bulbs).

I heard great things about the Lumenbrights and I think they are more efficient at reflecting light, but I wonder if their coverage is as good. Lumenarc coverage is fantastic.

I love the Lumenarcs and actually have one of my set ups on their website. I will always use these reflectors. You figure 3 MH's for a 8' tank. That's pretty good coverage.

I previously had two on my 7' tank with clams on the bottom and SPS all over. No problems. The SPS colored nicely.

What bulbs are you using? I am thinking of switching from XM10Ks to Reeflux 12Ks but have not yet decided.

That's all I use now is the Reeflux 12Ks. Love the color and you get good growth.

What kind of budget do you have for the fish?

3 or 5 purple tangs? Wow. That would be nice. Purples are so pretty. How about some yellows in there also. Sure they're common but the are pretty.

I was thinking that too. My 380 I had in California had 7 Yellows and it was fun to watch them dart out of the rock work and fight. The only bad thing is that once they were in there they would beat the caca out of some of the fish I added after them.

Oh yea I m gonna hold you to that when I get my tank and you have to drive over an hour to get out to my house LOL~! Pizza and beer of course thou.

Its looking really good red and the stand looks REALLY good. I am diligently looking and hopefully you and Jess can give me a hand with set up, and Tiff with some aquascaping

Thanks, here's the tank shots. I had one of heater take a pooh last nights and the tank got to 75.6. Lost one acro so far and two others don't look to happy.
