What made you use BLV 14k bulbs. I have seen plenty of reeftanks and none uses BLV bulbs. I use 400w 20k BLV because of the price I get them In South Africa. Other make bulbs cost twice the price. Did you try the 20k BLv bulbs? Also have you tried VHO bulbs combined with the halides. How much of pure liverock are you having in the tank. I was checking you build the structure from mostly base rock

I prefer 14K bulbs, I think the tank become more bright with then. 20K puts to much blue in my opinion and some corals seems to lose it's natural color under to much blue. I have never used 20K but I have already seen it in some tank. I've used vho in the past. Yes my tank have a nice amount of live rock, something like 100kg.

How does the close loop work, you said it has to Eheim pumps. pumps water under rocks ,going up into the drum next to the tank. How does the water return back to the bottom or does it exit ontop. How does that Deltek skimmer work for you, are you happy with it. Would you change it over time to another skimmer and which one.

The corals grew very much and I also had a coral spawning.

Then, I took off some large colonies, and I took the opportunity to made some changes in the rocks and water movement.

I saw the result of coral spawning in the tank of Carlinhos.

I could see dozen of colored Acropora "babies" in many places in the tank.

Although it was beautiful, Carlinhos said that the situation could become complicated.
