there is no easy way IMO no matter what you do it's going to hurt you and the fish some what. if you care be humane as possible if not use one of the cruel and unusual methods mentioned above.

Poison kills stuff. You are poisoning it. And yes..I would MUCH rather die an instantaneous death than to slowly go numb in a concoction of cloying oil.

I may be a little off topic but Ive always tried to save the fish rather than think of ways to euthanize. What ever happened to good old fashioned quarantine tanks and medicine and if the fish dies then you can blow it up, feed it to the cats, flush it or whatever else floats your boat! All that is just my opinion though!
