I am with Fox. These skimmers don't come with needlewheels. Some do but just about any that have the Atman pump have meshwheels. It does happen to be a hybrid however and I was told by Rob at Marine Solutions that that helps the mesh perform better.

My Bubble Magus NAC6 will be here next week and I am excited to set it up and give it a whirl.

Yes, they do perform better, but how much better is my point.

I would seeif nuocean had some in stock..... Didn't know mesh was standard

my nac 6 will skim good for days and then i will come in and it will be overflowing..they i will calm it down and it will skim for a few days then go back down..is there a meshwheel problem here or is it trying to pull something out of the tank when it comes across it?-Drew
Do you have an ATO? If not, it's most likely the fluctuating water level in the sump.

I've left 2 of the BM 200's running for 5 hours and they pulled 1.2 litres of crap out of my tank

We NEED more reviews... who cares who/where they are from. Thanks! :D

Would you trust a review from someone who may have ties with the manufacturer??? Of course they are going to say their product works like a charm..its in their benefit to do so..But if you ultimately don't care where you get your info from then I got some really rare and awesome SPS corals to sell you that don't require that much care...

guess let's ignore all Bubble King reviews from Germany

That isn't the point...

All I was saying was that the guy only had 2 posts...that's what concerned me. Being that I own the NAC6 and I'm not really impressed so far I'm a bit concerned about where I'm getting my info from. I had read several positive reviews about the skimmer before buying it but now that I have it up and running I see that there may be too much turbulence and the water level really needs to be at a constant so it can perform well.

He has a build thread. Sorry to hear u are having issues. I have been running my BM150 for almost a year, not a single complaint, has performed flawlessly, and no... I am not from china :).

My friend also has the BM200, he loves it.

Ok, well it looks like I may need to start messin with some mods today...hopefully its something minor..thanks for the input.

Those with problems, have you tried the support forum on the Nuocean website. I've had a couple issues with a used NAC6 I bought and Chris has given me great customer support.

I've been running a NAC6 since June. Only one start up complaint and I just blew into the silencer and it started right up. I don't have turbulence issues either like some are saying it's like a strong current. I can agree that the diffuser may be a little small but my bubbles rise very slowly and there is minimum turbulence in the neck. FYI mine's on a 125 gallon, with a 30 gallon sump. Both overflows drain into the skimmer compartment and the water level stays constant at 9-3/4". Return pump is a Mag 1200 dialed back about a third of the way and my skimmer setting is around 2-1/2 which takes the water level in the neck to match up to the bottom of the collection cup.

The thing works great, is quiet and pulls nasty skimmate all the time to the point where foam will extrude through the vent holes in the cup if the cup gets half full.

Sucks you guys are having problems with yours. Maybe now that there's a significant demand for them, maybe their QC's been slipping.

bunzaroo- if you are talking about the water level adjuster(blue pipe that spins from 1-5 on water level then yes it should have came with it..if not then what part do you mean?lol-Drew

Never mind I was talking about the overflow line, I guess I saw some with a small valve, mine just has a cap. By the way I just got mine up and running, where should the internal water level be at? the begining of the neck? I have the blue pipe set at 4 right no any lower and it starts overflowing.

bunzaroo-let it break in..keep it around 4 and a half for a lil bit and see how it does..move GRADUALLY down until it develops and algae coating for the bubbles to consistenly rise up then find your level..

rxx2-funny you mention that just signed up at nuocean and asked my questions today..ill let you know how they settle it.-Drew

well, my water level is at 8" so I'm thinking of building another sump to get it at 10" and see if that makes a difference.
