looking at Bubble-Magus BM-NAC6A and comes with a mesh impeller? where does this go on the unit? dont understand why its a freebie.

The Nac6 comes with the Atmann pumps. My Atmann pump came with 2 mesh impellers. It does not have a pinwheel impeller.

A Few Pics of My New BM 180CS

I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the quality of this skimmer. I have to admit that I was quite skeptical about these skimmers when they first hit the market, but after all the positive reviews in this thread, and finally having one in my hands, I am a skeptic no more. During my time in this hobby, I have owned 10 different skimmers (Euro-Reef, Life-Reef, MTC, MSX, to name a few) and this by far is one of the best built of all of them. Now let's just hope the performance matches the build. More feedback to follow.

As promised, here are the initial photos:

wow thats a beast. Make sure you fix the bubble diffuser to have the water jet from the pump to hit the area with no holes to prevent turbulence in the main chamber. Its off right now.

Whats the pump model?

sammy113, how are you going to do this? make the holes throughout the plate evenly? Thanks!

Received my NAC3+ today wanted to go with NAC6 but it would not fit. So far so good! Lots of foam and very quiet, came with ATMAN PH1100, with needle wheel very solid build.

Congrats JPat. Do you think the bb3000 will fit inside that thing? LOL

How do the base sizes compare the msx/octo200 bases? It would be awesome if it was much smaller b/c I have to drain my sump and remove it from my stand, just to get the skimmer in or out.

Thanks! The BB3000 definitely won't fit inside, but it would be easy enough to modify the skimmer to have it run externally. I'm going to run this stock for a while and see how it does before I start any modifications though. :)

The footprint on the Bubble Magus is SO much smaller than the MSX. Just take a look at the video I just posted of this BM skimmer, and compare it to the Video I took the other day of the MSX. I can't believe how much room I now have in my sump. The MSX filled my skimmer compartment completely, and it was a pain to take it out for cleaning.

I just received my NAC6 today. The collection cup has a hole in the bottom and a short ninety glued on for waste removal. Should it have had some hose and a valve as well. The directions showed a valve to open and shut the waste line but none was included?

It should have a hose and a plug with it. I don't think they use the valves anymore but it should have had a hose and plug for sure.
