Couldn't have agree more, it seems, as those skimmers gain popularity, all the sudden new distributors with money are coming in and jacking up the prices. BM helped then manipulating pricing by cutting off supplies to Ebay sellers in HK/China and forcing existing seller selling at jacked up prices.

BM is losing lots of credibility over this and at the end its the end users that gets screwed.

If you have contact with Jason from BM, then you should ask him who is Ivan. Again it show how much you know about BM and making lies and rumor.

Ivan work for Bubble Magus dude...

You ask the Mods to clean this up ? clean what up ? the private email you post on here ? or the lies you make about being the ONLY US / CANADA distributor.

To me this is a normal conversation and there is not thing more to it.

We just try to find out who is the distributor and i just trying to point out the fact that you are NOT the only one.

Seriously, we don't really want this thread to be closed due to a discussion from a old member, RC sponsor and a fresh 7 post someone who typed bubble magus as a screen name (no offense)

Try to solve you stuff in private. What WE DO CARE is where we will have the products available and we also care about prices as these skimmers are well crafted and works quite well. Where can we get service/ warranty. At the end we won't buy from Ivan, John, Jason or whoever.

I have my NAC7 back when the prices were ridiculous so I don't really care anymore but I feel sorry for other people trying to get their stuff and now Resellers wants to profit so much out of a skimmer.
 
Yes I said previously there are two distributors and one possibly two retailers that are still aloud to buy direct.

One is Nuocean "retailer" I think the other one actually is no longer, but will have to confirm this next week with BM
Two "distributors" Aqua Digital and one other

We have exclusive for Canada and shared for USA where we are happily working with everyone for the greater good of the brand.

The USA market is slightly confused right now due to existing partnerships that are still being worked through.

That I hope "should" clear everything up. ;)

We started our sponsored forum so these sorts of discussions had a rightful place and we could answer questions in the appropriate place (not here). So for the good of this thread i am now stepping out permenantly and have asked the mods to remove all related posts to put this thread back on track for the respect of everyone :)

For us late comers how much has it gone up? As I understand the 6 will be $159 and the 7 will be $224. Just I know how much to cry in my beer what where they going for. Thanks

Now you are exclusive for Canada and shared for USA....I noticed your statement changes from post to post. Why ?

I don't think the US distributor would like you to share their territory with you. Same as you don't want them to share the Canada market with the US distributor.

I agreed with the members here about the greedy distributors. May I point out that MICHAEL was the person wanted to raised the MAP price to the extreme. Here he is crying wolf and stated that he wanted to help the customers.

Am I right Michael ? did you wanted to raise the price of the BM doser to like $400-500 dollar from $250? just other skimmers, you wanted to jack the price up so you can make more profit.

Yes I do have that email you sent to BM and your MAP price proposal to BM.

Sorry I have to high jack this thread, but I can't stand the lies from this guy anymore.

Look at the pricing you should know, it started to increased when Michael becoming the dealer. He complained to BM that the US market price was too low, he can't make any money over in canada.

Now he is here trying to help other get low price....oh please.

From what I remember, I have been looking at a bmqq for a nano project and it was $80? + s/h and is now $136 + s/h.

NAC3 would work fine w/ med load. The 3.5 would be better (cone/less turbulence) but I don't think their released here yet. I see them on the BM site but like you, I'm not sure where you'd buy them (reefshops?), but then there would be shipping $$.

The little tunze would work as well but both would only be suitable for a light to medium sps load IMO.

What are your skimmer chamber dimensions on the Elos?

Back on topic, here is a picture of 5 days worth of skimmate from my BM200-P. Its being run on a 100gal, medium stocked tank (1 tang, 2 clowns, blenny, wrasse, chromis).

Thats a good size skimmer chamber for that size tank. It gives you quite a few more options.

I would go with the 5 or 6. Even though they are rated for much larger tanks, they still pull consistently from much smaller systems. The NAC6A has a wider neck so the NAC6 would be better than the 6A for your smaller tank. I have not seen any skimmate shots from the 3.5 so I would stay with something proven at this point.

The Tunze 9002 have more good reviews than bad reviews, but they are not the most sturdy skimmers out there and many complain about the noise and difficulty cleaning. Some swear by them and others are disappointed.
