I will need to get full clarification as the tech info is still saying meshwheel :(

Anyway until the bubble magus sponsored forum gets up and running (probably tomorrow) I will refrain from answering any more questions, then we will all have an official place for support and gossip ;)

just ordered my NAC7 cone today! due to an error from the posting fish store i got for 199.95 shipped! I am stoked and cant wait to get this bad boy going, especially since i came home later to find my 8" rbta and the tunze powerhead mating.blah! yes i removed the nem , and feel bad for both it and the hosting clowns.

I can't find the 180-CS anywhere but eBay, where it is $100 more than msrp. Every site that has it listed, is out of stock, grrrr.

What gives?!?! Where can I pick one up?

wonder if i got mine from the same place yesterday, i gave em an offer, and in the end got mine for $194 w/ free shipping....but i now notice they shot up to 250.

Has anyone modified a NAC 6 with the Bubble Blaster HY-2000. I have an extra and am thinking of modifying my NAC 6. Any thoughts? Any possible problems? Would the air volume be too much?

Haven't tried the bubble blaster but have tried the bubble box from my swc xtreme 120 cone skimmer and the performance was much better-less turbulence! The box assembly is about 25 bucks on the swc site.

Hi Steve,

This information is incorrect, as of two months ago bubble magus moved to distribution only.

Bubble Magus wish to move into mainstream marketing and have ceased supplying to retailers directly. This also means prices will become stable and most importantly so will support and any warranty cases.

However a very select few original dealers that commited to BM are still allowed to get active supply providing they stick to BM's new pricing MAP and do not create price wars. We are naturally happy to work along side these select dealers and create a great support chain.

We will be working actively on RC to make Bubble magus have a good home for support and client care in the next month and we look forward to supporting you all. ;)

I am very sorry to say that Michael is NOT a bubble magus ONLY USA or Canada distributor.

Michael you need to contact Ivan about this before you start any more rumors.

As far as I know, currently the USA distributor is Nuocean, Socal Tropical Fish Outlet and Victor from atbskimmers. You also can check out 2eef.com

You also can purchase BM skimmer from Tbaquatics, and Premium Aquatics.

To create a bubble magus forum within your own forum area and call yourself a ONLY distributor in US/Canada is just wrong. Nuocean was the first distributor that started all this BM stuff.

Again, before making any more lie statement. You need to get your fact right.

If the NAC6 is really $200 now, then there are much better skimmers available. I am glad I got mine when it was cheaper!

I would get the SWC cone series long before I would get a Bubble Magus at that price range. I would also look into Reef Octopus.

AQD Ottawa,

If Bubble Magus is serious with those prices, they better start coming with better pumps and needlewheels instead of the meshwheels. No way I would EVER pay $200 for my NAC6. It is amazing for the price I paid but for $200, I would have been an upset customer.

SWC 120 and 160 use atmans also. I own both SWC and The NAC6 and the NAC6 performs better on my systems but thats just my experience.

SWC does give you both NW and hybrid mesh though.

IMO I wouldn't waste my money on an octo skimmer unless it was the extreme series. The octos with the Octo pump are weak IME.

Hi Alias Bubble magus ;)

Please be assured we have no concerns over the facts.

There are two "distributors" for Bubble Magus and a couple of "retailers" that have been aloud to continue to direct purchase due to their long standing relationship with BM. We are in active communication with Nuocean to assist them meet supply needs when they arise

Bubble Magus approached us last November to help them sort out the supply chain in North America and we have been actively working with them ever since.

Just to reasure everyone here is the a confirmation email from Bubble Magus

Jason

I hope this puts this matter to rest.

I just confirmed the information with Chris from Nuocean and Victor and as far as they know, They are the official US distributor of BM and soon Canada.

So SteveK1979's statement was right about being the distributor. I will talk to Ivan about this Michael's lie statement of being the ONLY US and Canada distributor and I will keep you guys inform.

Thats great thanks, positive step as we have been trying to reach ivan for some time as he is the other distributor.

Just as with Nuocean we look forward to working with Ivan to support everyone :)

Ivan is not a distributor, he sells BM and work for BM just like Jason.

Get your fact right before making any more statement.

First you said that you were the ONLY US / Distributor, now you say there are two. Which one statement is correct ?

Also nuocean doesn't want to deal with you because they buy their stuff directly from Ivan.

Also posting other people private email in public forum is not very professional.

I think you will find Ivan is ATB and not Bubble Magus ;)

To stop this descending into sillyness and respect for others, i will leave this thread.

We are aware of the situation and would not be spending so much on product support otherwise.

Back to discussing this great brand please ;)

I have asked the mods to clean this up.

The BM is STILL one of the cheapest skimmers with the best build quality that offers genuine german made high end pumps ;)

I'd argue that the price was the main selling point of the product line. Raising prices dramatically and putting yourself in line with all the other standard skimmers out there will only hurt your/their business. Sure you can claim the raise in price now gets you better product support, but there are a multitude of skimmers now in the same price point that already have established reputations.

The products are well constructed but nothing revolutionary, the price is what set them apart. Now nothing does.
