Great colours on the acros already mate! You sure have a coral thumb.

Well well, look who it is! I don't want to sound like I'm a creeper or a stalker, but I believe sahin the last time I visited your thread, you owe us a FTS!!!!

Looking very yummy Scotty, that little red wrasse looks a lot like my overflow filament wrasse although yours is a common tank dwelling specimen unlike my much rarer weir fish...........:p

Thanks biggles :)

Your right mine is the common display dwelling wrasse, he's not the rarer weir dwelling wrasse, apparently yours are very hard to catch a glimpse of! :lolspin:

I fed some flake yesterday morning and two more wrasses chased some floating food straight over the overflow wall. Weir wrasse was not at all happy about the new fish intruding on his turf so i had to catch them before he chased them into the overflow pipe.......... weir wrasse are notoriously unsociable creatures :spin2:

They definitely don't like new intruders that's for sure!

Great update....thanks and congratulations by the great job!

Thank you very much yano :D
How is your tank coming along mate?

Holy Photo Bomb! Beautiful

Thank you :)

Can i ask you about the difference you see in the pigment saturation between your two reefs Scotty. I've never seen a zeo SPS display in person but looking at your acros in the entrance reef it sure looks like you are getting the pale pastel colors associated with the very artificial water keeping method that is zeo.
Is the difference as large as it looks in the pics we see, i find a well kept zeo display to have a distinct beauty that can't be duplicated in any other way and i'd love to try it out one day on a second display so i wanted your opinion on whether the results look as beautiful as i think they are when maintained by a highly proficient reefer such as yourself.

I must admit mate it is pretty amazing to have a tank that you can put yellows, pinks and baby blues into and not have a trouble keeping them at all, also to have pieces change colour so quickly is something that leaves me dumbfounded! The colour difference between the 2 tanks in regards to the "harder to keep" pieces is actually quite amazing and the colours of this tank look even better in person.
Don't get me wrong I still love the 4x4 colours, the thing still leaves me grinning every time I look at it but this new tank just takes things to a whole different level and I'm really enjoying the challenge.

Thanks a lot for that reply Scotty, i have always wondered just how 'real' the zeo pastel colors are in person and it's very encouraging to be able to hear from a reef keeper i admire very much in relation to whether the results are truly worth the extra expense a zeo tank entails.
My ex wife will be funding the second tank when i no longer have to give her eleven grand cash a year in child support at the end of this year lol..... i will even send her a pic of the new zeo reef once it's up and running just to let her know where her Lexus convertible finance money is now going :p

I'd say you will pull a zeovit or fauna Marin tank off no worries at all mate as you are a talented reefer which you have proven with your current tank. IMO it's all just really a matter of monitoring corals for colour and PE :)

Hahahahhaha that's the best excuse I've ever heard for a new tank mate! Love it!!! :lolspin: :lolspin: :lolspin:

Nice tank! The pictures at the beginning really helped a friend of mine visualize the layout of his stand. Similar footprint and equipment as yours.

Do I hear "Road Trip!"

Marty
