Please don't listen to biggles! :debi: That acro is really nice!

there is only a half dozen that have gone red.... we are scratching our heads as to why. there is also the possibility of them turning brown in another system so.....

Tierra Del Fuego - A. anthocercis

Same thing only bigger that i've had for a month and is coloring up and encrusting well. It's started shooting the purple/mauve growing tips that match the encrusting edge since i took this pic. Matt's Madness on the right.......

Can't believe i'm writing this as it will sound ridiculous.........

It has purpley mauve encrusting edges then green which turns into a yellow gold which then becomes a mauve that is pinky looking at the very tip of non growing axial's. The tips that are actively growing at the edges have the same purpley color as the encrusting edge........... i haven't finished :fun4:

The polyps are yellow gold on the green and yellow gold colored tissue but turn deep red as the mauve color takes over. The growing tips with the purpley color have either white or very pale blue polyps.

Just wanted to clear that up in case anyone wondered what that over PAR'd frag looks like when it's loved.........

Nice corals @Biggles
The one you call Tierra Del Fuego is very similar to whats called Tropical sun in Europe.

I found a pic of fresh collected part bleached tropical sun acro

Tropical Sun Acro

That is identical to the acro everyone in Aus calls TDF, they usually look as bleached but still glowing with colors as the one in that pic does when they arrive at the shops. The other variant is a much thicker plating one due to strong current where it's been collected i think - same acro and colors though.

Now i don't know what to call it lol. :p

Slight update, we have had a few problems lately, we lost an entire holding bay due to a nudi explosion, and had some issues with heat stress (chillers couldnt keep up) not sure if heat exaserbated the nudis but it did happen at the same time, luckily nudis were contained to one system which has subsequently been emptied and bleached, and to help with cooling we have added cooling towers which are working really well.

Wow, sorry to here about your troubles. I bet that had to hurt after all the work growing the corals out. Hope the upgrades solve the cooling issue for good. Do you export to the US at all? If so thru what supplier? I still love the colors you guy's are pulling out of your corals and your PAR values are insane, in a good way.
