I would have over 1000 pounds of rock covering the foam on the bottom so it would not go any place.
put the rock in befor you fill.

good idea yousmellfishy with this thread.

i will soon be starting my rock wall and bought some fiberglass resin thought it would work but now im not so sure. here is the MSDS sheet.

I have a little foam tip for you guys. turned out pretty nicely for me on a test piece of egg crate.

About 10 minutes after you spray the foam on use a piece of wood to rough up the still soft surface. Cut up a straw and stick it in various spots in the foam. When it's hardened pull the straws out.. This is what I got without cutting into it at all...

is this the answer to my question if fiberglass resin will work?
if i where to use a resen i would use epoxy resen. there have ben a few on rc that have used fiberglass (polyester) resen that you can get at an auto parts store.

the YES was for this question "where can i get the crystal rock salt? home depot, lowes....."

Foam wall in my 37 gal cube, looked amazing to me until it floated up after about 3 months
didnt you use any silicone on the bottom to keep it down?

Yousmellsfishy, when you did yours, I see you zip-tied the rock to the eggcrate, then did the waterfall foam thing, then added your home-made sand. Did you add the sand right after you added the foam?

thank you cause after reading his post i looked back and didnt know. initially i thought the answer was for me. again after rereading it, that could have gone either way...joeypantagco eyed that.. good catch
