Wow 800+ views and only a hand full of comments ... come on people its a 600 GALLON TANK... people with 20 gallon builds get more posts.... I'm open for comments and ideas...

Okay, the girlfriend and I were talking last night about the lighting of this beast.. we both decided instead of going LED we are going to install solar tubes or a large skylight .. and supplement with a few LED strips for moon lighting and very cloudy days. Any input on which one would be better. ?

3, 14 inch solar tubes on there way.. for a little under 400 bucks for all its worth the try.. I've read and researched a ton of info on naturally lit reefs and all reviews from people that use them are very pleased .. besides it saves me the 3 grand I was going to spend on LED's....

What brand? The ones I looked at were more than $400+ for one that was about 1/2 the diameter.
Are you going after any of the available tax credits?

3 tubes of silicone and a couple good buzzes and the girlfriend and I have the glass installed and the seams done..
