Give me a break. This isn't a money making scam. Do you actually know ANYTHING about this subject, other than believing it's a hoax? You've never been able to show anything to support your argument beyond your bizarre rants.
..."HIGHLY correlated"...again may be causal OR may not be a causal relationship. Without the control group we do not know for sure.

A control group would be nice, but we do have modeling. Do you think that global ecology and climatology is a fruitless endeavor because we only have one planet to work with? Should we just give up because it's beyond our ability to understand?

Remember that during WW II commercial fishing stopped out on the open seas for ten years.
Fish stocks rebounded and the C02 levels on earth DECREASED!

The ocean does play a major role in CO2 sequestration, but it isn't a SOURCE. If we removed all of the forests on the planet, and the CO2 rose, would you say that the land was releasing CO2? No, you wouldn't, the land is still a sink. If you burned the trees, it would raise the CO2, but if you ate the trees, such as eating fish, it doesn't get released into the atmosphere. In fact, removing trees and burying (or eating) them would reduce CO2 because trees would regrow and absorb more CO2 from the atmosphere. Which, you say, is an analogy to what happened during WWII when commercial fishing stopped.

But, regarding that supposed dip in CO2 during WWII, I don't see an appreciable decrease in CO2 levels during that period. Do you?

There are many other times when CO2 levels drop, sometimes more than between 1939-1946. And again (I'm going to keep telling you this until you prove me wrong) you are ignoring the isotopes. It kills your theory.

See I have a problem with this answer. Thats just being plain selfish. Your basically saying that lets continue to live our lives while we poisen the earth and by the time we die its not our problem. Man I could not live with myself going by this statement. What about our grandkids. SO its now their problem. What about all the habibtats. So they get to die now? They should die because of natural predation, disease or old age not becasue they are inhaling smoke or global warming is impacting their lives. And yes there is global warming. I can easily defend that. Go for it. Start a debate. I am looking forward to it.

*sigh* Actually, yes. I have a big headache caused by stupid people who don't understand sarcasm. You can cure my headache by lightening up and learning about this issue before spouting nonsense. Savvy?

Actually - No. My income isn't dependent upon the number of patient's I see.

getting a little to personal I see...haha...I love it when I see people get into on the CPU...its about fish and the weather...haha...at least make it about sports...anyone going up for my argument?

I'm salary also. I wouldn't expect to continue collecting a check if tool sales came to a stop. I would expect to be looking for another job!

First order of business here is a lesson in how to debate and not get banned <sigh>

First off, it's ok to debate the idea, you don't need to agree with me just because I'm a mod. However, insults will not be tolerated. I won't tolerate them from one member towards another, and I won't tolerate them towards myself or any other mod. I highly doubt you would like me calling you a fool or questioning your scientific training just because I'm not agreeing with you, so don't go doing it to others. It's especially bad to insult the guy with the ban button ;) Be glad I'm not trigger happy and believe in warning people first.

Everyone else would also be wise to keep this in mind if you would all like the thread to remain open.

OK, now back our regularly scheduled debate.

So how do we know it's actually the sun warming the atmosphere? Any experiments with the appropriate controls done to prove this? Or is just observation? To the best of my knowledge it's just been observation in the same basic ways as the increases in CO2 and global warming trends, as well as the past warming trends and ice ages that everyone keeps pointing out.
