Ladies and Gentlemen,

You talked…we listened! :)

You said you wanted an “indoor” event this year?

Well, let’s just say that we wish to continuously improve Reef-A-Palooza for you every year, so…

I am happy to announce that SCMAS has officially secured a venue for Reef-A-Palooza 2007:

Saturday, August 18, 2007

SCMAS will host this year’s Reef-A-Palooza at:

“The Orange County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center”

We have secured a 12,000 square-foot climate-controlled Exposition Building for this year’s Reef-A-Palooza in one of the most well-known and convenient locations in Southern California!

I will add more information soon

Thank you

This is a free event?

That remains to be determined as the budget is finalized over the next months.

Given the significant cost of the premier venue this year, there may be a token fee for admission, booth fees for vendors, and reduced shared-booth fees for hobbyist coral propagtors.

It has not been decided, but do to the cost involved, there probably will be a $5.00 admision fee with kids 12 and under free. The cost of hosting an indoor event are significant, but we will be working hard to keep the cost down! I don't think there is anyone on RC that can't afford $5.00 for such a great event.

ya from what last years turned out to be 5.00 is well worth it so if u can spend the 5 dollars then please come but if not no need to complain about the money fees cause then ur bringing others down with you, hope to see you all there

is there proof that the majority of reefers are from the OC -_-
For this event the answer to that question is irrelevant. OC is the Home of SCMAS. OC will be the home of Reef-A-Palooza. However I will say that on August 18th, the proof will be at Orange County Fair Grounds!

$5.00 admision fee with kids 12 and under free.

Kids under 12 aren't going to be buying any corals... adults with tanks should get in for free, and kids should have to pay : )
(I kid, I kid....)

first - that is a wicked cool website for reefapalooza! i really like it and brings a level of sophisitication that let's us know that this is going to be a killer event!

second - i'll pay $5 anyday for any indoor event than to have to haul my usual wide brim hat, slather on sunblock and bake under the sun so that i can wander around, look at frags, look at equipment, talk with vendors at my leisure...rather than ration out my water, wonder if my sunscreen is coming off and always having to wear my shades...

totally looking forward to this!

WOW - that's great. I'm there for the WHOLE-DAY.
From start to finish. And I'll bring MORE money this time.
Very cool.
