It's going to be GREAT. Wow I sure will be there early and stay late.
I'm looking forward to it.
It's going to be so nice to be inside.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you

lets say you see some great frags when you walk in and you purchase them. Will they hold them for you until you are ready to leave or do you have to walk around with it in a little bag absorbing the heat from your sweaty hands.?

I know I have done it for people in the past. It's entirely up to the vendor.

We are discussing possible options, but for the most part, people usually bring small ice-chest/coolers to put their frags in (size proportional to whatever your intended purchase volume is, of course)

We have discussed the possibility of a "community frag/float tank" be made available, but there are numerous disadvantages to that:
1) Need a volunteer(s) to man the thing all day
2) Liability concerns (who is responsible/to what extent)
3) Need suitable tank, equipment, logistics, etc
4) Sheer Volume: we anticipate around 1,500 attendees!

Perhaps someone would like to purchase a booth and make a business venture out of "baby sitting" corals for the day?
Wouldn't take much to do so, I think.
Could provide a valuable service and make good money at the same time.

We held pieces for buyers at SW-CFM. We mostly used styro cups and placed the coral in the cup like the buyer was going to take it with them and wrote their name on it. When they picked it up we did a water change on the cup. ;)

Hard to keep the sold pieces in the selling tank since many were one-only or limited in quantity (sorry that's sold, nope that's sold....).

We want to find a logical solution for people to be able to stay the entire day. We will have speakers, a HUGE raffle, auctions, and other activities going on that day. We are also coordinating with OCFEC to provide food vendors for the day. There is even the Orange County Marketplace (swapmeet) going on right next to us, so this could easily be a whole day field trip for families.

Hmmmm, one spouse could be scanning the swapmeet for bargains while the other leisurly enjoys Reef-A-Palooza all day.
Niiiiice!
:)

In any case, there has to be something people can do to keep their frags safe and healthy for 6+ hours. Any other suggestions?
