Since some of us opened our presents today (or in Roy's case a few weeks ago) I thought I'd start a thread so that everyone can share their new reef-related toys I guess since I'm starting the thread I'll start.

I got a Midnight Pygmy Angel, aka Black Pygmy, aka Nox Angelfish.

He is in QT right now and it is hard to photograph a jet black fish.... I was going to eventually get a Black Tang, but this guy was calling my name, and alot less stressful to the pocketbook....


I grabbed this picture to show what he looks like, I will post a real picture of the one I got soon.

I had a midnight. He was awesome until he got the fever for the coral. then he sucked so i got rid of him. Just feed him plentiful. Beldt's had a keyhole angel a few days ago. it was sweet as well.

Well, I got early a Kodak Z650.

Then tonight I just got back from the ER my grandmother fell and severely fractured her femur. It's displaced from the break right below her replacement hip up into the acetabulum. So about 6 inches short. They put a pin through her distal femur to traction it out for a few days before surgery.

Bittersweet but I also got a pcx-1000 expansion module for my Aquacontroller. And a generator.

I got a couple of nice Acro's, a deep fryer, a Canon iP6310D printer and a 37" LCD HD TV. It was a good x-mas.

I got a nice batch of Cinnamon clown eggs They haven't done it since I took the tank apart several months ago and this morning I noticed it and watched them load up the side of a rock

One of these days I'll go hang out with Kathy and learn how to do that- I would have to get the fry out of the tank at night like she does cuz I can't get the rock that they are on out of the tank. I imagine they would be donations or possibly trades for store credit though cuz I don't think there's much of a market for cinnamons out there...

I got to spend the day with both sides of the family. There were 16 here for dinner and then for desert, we surprised my mom with a big web-cam meetup.

We were sitting in the dining room and all of the sudden, through the stereo, my sister in Colorado asked me to pass some apple pie to my brother in New York. My brother said that he had enough and to send the whipped cream to my other sister at the table. My mom was blown away. We went into the living room and had my sister and her family on half the screen, my brother and his wife's family on the other half; the rest of our family and my wife's family in our house (and a sick nephew and his dad on speaker phone).

Not a whole lot is going to compare to the look on my mother's face ( although my son opening up present after present containing Thomas the Tank Engine stuff comes close).

I got mine a few weeks earlier, but that was Christmas...
A 90g rr tank, 250w XM 10k's, ARO ballasts, 2 110w Super VHO actinics, 50 g sump, and am working on geting everything plumbed this week.

Water rock and sand... sounds like I have been taking lessons from Nook! lol

Any aquascapers out there want to lend a hand when I get to that point?
