michael how tight is it in the sump

not tight, i basically designed the sump so the reactor could hang on the front and the cabinet door would still close, fits like a glove really:)

welcome to the cornerarians club charleskeller.

hookup i dont know its true color. i did have an AcroTenius right when i got into SPS, same kinda color, whitish cream with blue tips. though i do hope it blues up more. the tissue recesion spread, quick (yeah RTN!) i just fragged it up into 5 pieces. hopefully they all survive. Keep your fingers crossed!

very nice tank charles, any chance you can re-post with a spec for it, nice work it looks great in the position its in, a great room divider, looks a picture

Micheal - What kind of specs are you looking for? Here are some...

Tank - 44g Perfecto Pentagon, factory stand, custom canopy
Lighting - Current Sunpod 150w MH, Hamilton 14K bulb (current 14k pictured)
Circulation - Maxijet 900 (2), Koralia 1, Koralia 2
Filtration - 29g Fuge, ASM G1 Skimmer, Turbotwist 9w UV, Phosban Reactor (all under the tank, yeah right lol)
Other - 20L frag with 130w PC above sump, 1/3HP chiller

I'll try to take a better shot of the tank showing its location later.

thats great thanks, it would be interesting to see the sump and frag tank when you can get a pic, oh by the way welcome to the club, nice to have you here as part of it:)

thanks for the welcomes...

I forgot the return pumps. I'm using a Rio 1700 for the frag tank and a Rio 2500 for the display (44g). I plan to combine them some day but for now they are working.

i'll get some pics soon!

So I picked up a few pieces of live rock and some live sand from my favorite LFS. So far there's 2 blue leg hermits, 8 astrea snails and a couple butt loads of baby cerith snails.

Just sharing a few pictures of my 54 corner...

oooh, those are really beautiful! could you tell me the names of each of those. I'm not good with the names of coral and I'm trying to get better.

jesse, whats your long term plans, mixed reef? sdoggssf, very nice pics, plenty of corraline i notice as well, beautiful tank

Has anyone drilled a 44g Pentagon before?

My new black trimmed replacement tank comes in this week and I ordered some holesaws last night. I think I'm going to try it.

not me charles, i use a hang on overflow box, but its possible and hopefully someone will chip in here, if not try the DIY forum, someone there will definately know

So i finally got to add all those frags (17 in all), but it looks a little funny with little circles, but hopefully in about a month they will all be grown over. From the other pictures i moved the LPS' down to the lower part of the tank (frogspawn and trumpet coral) and i'm going to make the top half of the tank into the sps half of the tank. I'll get some pics up later.

Mostly sps. there will be some lps, (acans, a trumpet and a clam or two). The only softy besides some zoas will be my ora green toadstool for now, though I may add a yellow fugi later. I have a green sinularia(sp) I'm getting rid of. Almost as much of a pain as green star's.

Ok so let's call this pic, "how much crap can you fit under a 54 corner." The fuge is in the sump. The two reactors will be on the left.
