The Reef Central Corner Club Thread

Mike, you're pm box is full. Probably from sending out pm's to all of us. I'll make up a few avatars. It may take me a bit as my weekend is pretty booked. After I make them I'll post them here and we can all vote for one or pic the one they want.

cheers jesse, ive just cleared out about 30 pms so im clear again now, good idea about the vote, if anything comes to mind in the next day or 2 i will let you know, im hoping some members will have some ideas as well, thanks again

Even some pics of favorite things in your tanks. Post pics. I haven't the faintest idea of what some wall look like. You really don't know what you want till you see it.

I'm going on a backround tour of the Pittsburgh Aquarium tonight. I might even come up with something there!!!!

Phish guy - I'm gonna give it a try and hope it works out.

Jesse - What kind of pics were you thinking of from our tanks? Just a closeup of some corals or fish? Full tank/partial tank? Or just pretty much anything to give you an idea?

well jesse from pms so far the general consensus is a basic picture of a coral or specimen fish but not a regal tang or clown fish with the words reef central corner club or RCCC incorporated in or on the picture, its a start, perhaps the tang which is rcs mascot would also be a good idea, as its rc we are all involved with, well, lol, come on its just a thought, i am english after all:lol: bloody english as thick as 2 short planks, lol

Thanks. Th sump was custom made in Saskatchewan and fits perfectly through the front opening. The front section will be the refugium and I would like to be able to skin it having the fuge viewable. Sort of like 2 tanks in one.

Agreed that tank should be pretty impressive after all is said and done.
I love the pentagon shaped sump too! Custome made or DIY?
Is the sump small ehough to fit though the front of the stand or does it have to go though the top?

Cheers!

I just wanted to join the corner club. I've got an empty 54g tank and I'm still getting everything put together for it. I've been through 3 different lighting setups and I've finally decided to go ahead with a canopy and a retrofit 250w HQi. I'll have to measure everything before I figure out if I have room for T 5's or not. I guess the most interesting aspect of my tank is that I have to go sump-less. I'm planning on a HOB skimmer and refugium. I have both a Prizm and a Remora I'm playing with, and I think I'll mod a power filter with a surface skimmer into the refugium. I'll get some pics up as soon as there's something to show.

17 members have informed me they will use an avatar to date but only 4 have made suggestions so it could take a while, theres no rush anyhow, so if you do suddenly get an idea just pm me or misled, thanks guys

I hope to be joining to corner club next week myself. I have what appears to be a good offer on a corner tank but I can't find it anywhere online. It is listed as a 55 gallon corner tank but no other specs about the tank are given. I have a photo of it but I can't find anything to match it. If anyone can ID this tank please let me know who makes it and what the rough dimensions are.

First Shot

First Shot

Here is my first shot at my 54 corner aquarium. This aquarium will be setup as a FOWLR only. Hopefully by Monday I will be picking up my Live Rock. Right now, Temperature and Salinity level are in line for me to start adding my rock. Pics to follow as I build on.

Very nice indeed!
I didn't notice that you & I are naighbours! Right down the street eh?
I love the custom sumps I've seen made here for the corner tanks. Really the corner sumps that are custom just blow me away like yours and Michael's. My sump & entire set up was really DIY and budget, esthetic it is not, but functional it is.
I got a few ideas for upgrades when I find a bigger place this summer.

Cheers!

ooooh reefscape, that 92 gallon sure would look good in my living room... wish I had $400 laying around! BTW i'm in Rochester! Small world. : D

HAHA!!! I know the feeling! I'd love to have another tank, but really don't have the room or the extra cash right now. Yea that's only about 1.5 hours away from me. I don't know if you know where Elmira is or not. And also, why do we live in upstate NY???? It's so freezing cold here i can't stand it! I wish i lived in Florida!!!!
