I looked into a CARX, but determined it wasn’t worth it at this time (with my currently minimal dosing) after my first try having one shipped had it arrive broken.
It’s a guy on Facebook that has one, I can’t recall his name but I have it saved in my messages. I think @therman also has one but he doesn’t frag it that often if at all.
2 part is so unstable. You don't think much of it until you switch. I do have a daily alk curve, but it's gradual and consistent. That's only because I dose kalk at a set rate, continously. I could dial it in, but I don't honestly care to. Less timers, less failure points.

I'm doing about that much too, and am slowly upping the calcium reactor to "polish off" the alk demand. I'm hesitant as these wildfires are really kicking my tail in terms of pH. It's acceptable, but it's not 8.5-8.8 the way I like.Another reason for the switch was it was causing my salinity to climb. Over a 3 month period my salinity went from 1.026 to 1.030.
I currently dose 23,000ml of kalk daily as well and it still needs more. Pretty soon the CARX will be running constantly without a needle valve.
Nice.Bad pic with the actinics, but the newest member ORA Green Tip Birdsnest. Not sure if it’s the pink or orange variety. Don’t recall on the name and hard telling under blue light. Guess it’ll wait til morning when the halides kick in. I’m hoping for pink but may be the orange variety.

Much fluffier looking today. Nice. It’s pink! Here’s both an edited and unedited version (unedited is obviously more realistic to color currently)

Definitely. The pic from last night was shortly after I got it glued down. The LFS had it attached to a 3lb rock and given their grand success with Aiptasia, I asked them to remove it from the rock.Much fluffier looking today. Nice.
Alright so quick update, no photos. A couple weeks ago I accidentally way overdosed all for reef. And by that I mean I dosed 1300 ml of AFR in less than 4 hours (my Dos’s manual dosing button got stuck pushed on by my dosing container and didn’t realize it). Spiked my Alk above 15.7 which is the max my salifert kit went too. I need to test again to see where it’s at but so far the green cap slightly bleached, the Acroberry is dead and the Birdsnest is STNing so I need to frag it a ton. All others seem fine.
Once I get it balanced out, I’ll see what to add next.
With luck, I’ll also be upgrading my metal halides with some new Hamilton Cayman Sun reflectors I ordered from Blue Zoo.
Also to add to the dream list above, upon a visit to a not so local LFS, I’m adding the following to my dream list:
Jason Fox Fox Flame
Vivids Confetti
ACI Voodoo Majick
Oh man sorry to hear!
I have a virtual output on my Apex just for this reason. I accidentally turned on the ALK doser in my pocket and dumped it for 20 minutes without realizing.
I put an alarm so if it was on for more than 5 minutes then I would be alerted. I don't know if it works for if the button is pushed. Might be worth it if it does work.
Do you have the coding you used? I’m not very good at apex stuff other than basic control
Thanks! And It happens. My own fault for having dosing bottles on a rolling cart where the tops fit perfectly between the Dos heads.Sorry for the accident Shane.
