ThE StArT Of My 120 BB sPs TaNk

Here is an updated picture. I have installed the bottom shelf. I have also glued and finished the top with Formica. The plumbing for the skimmer is 70 % done waiting for some fittings to come in. I have also ordered a blue line HD-X 30 for the return. It puts out 1130 GPH at 13 feet. It should be more than enough for my OM squirt.

Greg the overflow cover can be removed as often as I like. It is not glued to the tank. So if it needs cleaning I can just remove it and clean it and put it back
Getting back to the styro GREG Is it still necessary to use styro even though I have in stalled Formica? It is very level and I should have asked before I used Formica and wasted the time and energy to lay it down, Lets hope I have your approval.

Purple Haze

The gutter guard is plastic and I got it from Home depot. If you canââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t find it will send you some.

I just used a layer of cheap outdoor carpeting under my tank. Cost effective and does the job. Very nice looking job on your tank!

i got that same light on my 29gal tank. i like it a lot. it was either goin to be that light or an aqualight pro. but i like the way the vho looks. i love cubes!!! u should have gone braceless. or is it goin to be wood trimed in wall???

Looks awesome trueblackpercula! It's obvious that you have planned well for this! Can't wait to see it full of coral. :)

Here is an update , still waiting on the sump and then I can start making water :) Its been a long road but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As you can see from the photos I have installed styro under the Tank and the OM squirt fits perfect. All that is needed to do is the plumbing. Any sugestions from anyone so far? Hey Greg thanks for all the help thus far. Here are some pictures for everyone to enjoy. Please make comments if you think i have made any mistakes.
Thanks
Michael

Here is a new update of the sump. This was not fun to do, I mean drilling and lining everything up. I deceided to install a styro bottm to keep the pump nose down. I still have to install some unions and figure a way to make a screen or something for the durso pipe. Any one have any sugestions ? Here are some pictures.

Very nice, you have the same skimmer I just ordered. I must say, you have a much cleaner setup though.

Your hard work, and research is about to pay off, now get some water in that thing :D

Here is the pre-filter I made up for the overflow. I made the holes big and small to allow as much flow as possible to pass and at the same time not let any snails pass into the system. If I had not done this snails could have entered the plumbing and cuased a flood or cloged pipe.
This was very time consuming.

I was referring to the placement of the tee and street-el. Usualy the cap with the air-hole is directly over the pipe which ends in the bulkhead. Yours appears to be over the pipe with the strainer.
