Nice shots!

This is one of my favorites in my tank. I have a piece that is/was about 10" x 7" but it has been in STN for the last week. I have a frag from a few weeks ago that looks fine, and a recent frag that has shown STN also. I keep clipping it back and dipping but cannot get rid of the STN. I am totally bummed about it because it is an incredible coral.

Do you have an ID on it?

If I were you I would take it out and dip it and look for the nudi's if it keeps STN'ing
I had a monti confusia(SP) do the same to me about 2 years ago and it turned out I had them.

I don't really know the correct name my best guess is Montipora peltiformis but your right its an amazing coral hope you don't have the nudi's and your STN'ing stops!

hmmm...how small are the nudis? I have dipped it twice already. I am going away for a week so I cant't do much now, but I will see what happens. I gave a frag to a buddy and his is also not looking good. I closely inspected more than once and didn't see any nudis.

Nice shots Brian. You need to save me a piece of that Meridiana. I love that coral. Keep the pics coming!

They are very small and white when I first dipped mine I thought it was the flesh of the monti in the dip container but it was the nudi's under closer inspection

Well I hope you don't have them they wiped out all of my collection of monti's 2 years ago and I went a year without monti's in my tank.

You know what they say about a man with a big anemone...

He spends all day Sunday moving coral out of its way while it finds a spot it likes :D

I picked up a purple based Magnificent anenome whos name shall be Goliath.
The pictures below are old b/c I've already had to move 2 more colonies for a total of 6 so far and expecting to move more :lol The super white rock in the middle of the first picture "Used" to be its home until it went for a scenic walk through "SPS Field".

its super healthy and eats like mad but I just have to move coral around until its happy

As a conservative guess its about 18"

That's one serious anemone. Hope it finds its "home" soon.

Well he quit moving and I hope he stays where he is but only time will tell he ate some large shrimp I got from the grocery store soaked them in zoecon and selcone.

Thanks SWSaltwater and RevHtree!

Great looking leopards... we are looking to add a couple of those ourselves.. we considered a small group of potters leopards, but have not decided yet :)

I didn't even notice how clear your water was until Jonathan pointed it out... very nice indeed :)
