Great looking leopards... we are looking to add a couple of those ourselves.. we considered a small group of potters leopards, but have not decided yet :)

I didn't even notice how clear your water was until Jonathan pointed it out... very nice indeed :)

We had been looking for potters for about 4 years, not too common of a fish in our area. We are going to get new homes for some of the larger fish and get more leopards. Our other leopards taught the new ones to eat frozen already:D

so you love leopards eh? I thought there were some issues with them and reef community tanks. Is that bad info?

The only bad info I know of is that they often don't eat in captivity, what had you heard?

I heard they will eat some reef creatures like shrimp, small fish, and the occassional reef keeper finger. just kidding...I can't really remember what I heard about them...it shows on liveaquaria that they are reef compatable, so maybe what I heard was just some BS.

yea, only down side to a leaopard is that they are like mandarins in their diets... they can be taught to eat frozen food, but typically wil only eat live food, IE: Pods. They also don't ship too well, although I read that it is more about starvation than shipping stress, but I can't be sure. We are looking to get our group of potters direct from a diver in Hawaii. Our last attempt was not soo successful, but there is a better, more direct freight flight out of Hawaii and our new tank is hopefully alot better of a setup for the leopards to help minimize the stress and get them eating again.

I also have read taht certain leopars can be aggressive towards other leopards.. like the bipartus (blue ornate that you have) can sometimes get aggressive towards any new leopards, after it gets established. (We still want one.. or better yet a pair :)).

Wow, I love the bluestar leopard wrasse. One of my favorite fish all time. Keep the pics coming Brian.

hey makoJ, were you able to ID this monti?

lol nope still have my fingers lol I did have trigger that tried to take my fingers off a couple of times thou LOL

I wouldn't doubt that they would mess with small shrimps but I don't think they would mess with other fishl

Yea Potters usually don't ship well at all and don't start eating fast enough to overcome the shipping stress from what I've heard.

We got lucky and bought the blue star b/c it was eating frozen at the LFS it showed the male blue star and potters how to eat frozen also after a few days it was funny there was mysis swimming all around them and the female blue star swam in and ate all of the mysis around them and it looks like they said to themselves "HEY, what is she eating" ever since then they are pigs lol

Thanks, we got the elegance at a LFS it had been there for a few weeks so we decided to try it.

Got a lot of SPS from TexasTodd before he sold his system a few months ago and got lots of frags from Znut Reefer and smcooler. Most of the LPS in the tank came from either Extreme Corals or Reefermadness as well as a few acros but I always check all of the online sites looking for that one coral I can't pass up lol

finally built a top down box so here are some shots

This is supposed to be a Bali Enchinata but I don't know?
