Your tank, room, and corals are amazing. I agree, one of the nicest tanks on the boards. From the aquascaping and coral to the room itself. Well done :)

Thanks! I can't take credit for the aquascaping that was all my wife's doing. I don't have the aquascaping thing down lol I tried and tried to set the rocks up and it just looked horrid, then in one go my wife turned it into exactly what I was envisioning.

Your welcome, I'm running the Sequence Hammerhead and had to go with drum 3 so that the pump could work at full bore.

Mako-
1. How much did the tank cost? How about the stand?

Ok looked it up Tank cost me $3000 and stand cost me $1100 and shipping was $400

I also got a few pm's asking about how much the whole setup cost so I thought I would post up an estimate as I didn't really want to calculate how much I spent LOL

Tank, stand, lights, bulbs, ballasts, sump, pumps, tunzes, skimmer, calcium reactor, plumbing parts, wood for wall, water storage, om 4-way, exhaust fan, electrical work, chiller, aquacontroller and ph controller came out to a price of $22,000
That doesn't include any livestock or rock or sand or salt or the basic stuff. This is also an estimate b/c I may have gotten a better deal or a worse deal then what the prices are now.

I am sure it is in the thread but can you tell me about your controller and how you linked it in to your computer?

Ok thanks again i have a 8 way and i think the drum i have is the # 3 also. I started plumming it up today wow lot's of fittings. I will show you some pictures when i'm done.

What software are you using?
Did you make the link upyourself or did you buy it?

I bought it, I'm running aqua notes right now but I'm about to use a new controller and so I will be doing all new software.

awesome. I am a programmer by trade and have thought a lot about writng my own software. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the reply Mako on the price of the tank and my other questions. You are saving me a ton of time and if I end up with half the tank you have, I'll be pleased.
Why are you changing out the Acuacontroller? What are you getting in its place?
Cheers!

That is a really nice tank, even the plumbing looks super. You have an awesome collection of corals and looking at your set up makes to want to tear mine down and start over. You have a lot to be proud of!!! Well done!

I want a controller that will give more of a warning if I'm away and have total power failure, the plan now is the Biomatrix if everything works out
