I have a 6x Icecap T5 setup. Running 4 ATI Blue+, 1 Purple+, and 1 Aquablue. Im trying to get a better bulb order to spread the light properly. 1/6 are my dusk bulbs and the remaining are on the separate switch.

Bulb order right now:

Blue+

AquaBlue

The tank looks good, but I'm not sure if I'm getting the most out of it.

Grim! Need your help once again - I've got a 92 gallon corner tank with a Current USA PRO 6 x 39 watt T5 fixture- LPS, softies and maybe a few SPS ...

What would be your recommendation on a bulb combo..

Any Feedback would be much appreciated..... thanks again

4 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI Purple Plus and a ATI Aquablue or GE 6500K for a slightly less blue look.

Grim -

I run an ATI PM 8x80 over a 6x2x2 180g SPS-dominated tank. I currently run

5x Blue Plus
2x Aquablue special
1x Fiji Purple

I'm due for bulb replacements, and looking for just *slightly* less of a blue hue and more pop in my coral. Thinking about the following

4x Blue Plus
2x Aquablue special
1x Purple Plus
1x ATI True actinic

What do you think of that combo?

Thanks

Hello need some suggestions tank is a 36x18x18 and would be mostly sps dominated. Fixture is a 6 bulb ati powermodule. What bulbs would you recommend for a 20k look and a 14k look

I'd maybe try 2 Purple Plus instead of the actinic but either should work.

Hi Grim,

What would be the best lighting for a 37 gallon tank. I would like to keep an anemone and not to sure what else. Im new to the reef game but would like to invest in adequate lighting to keep almost anything.

Measurements: Its 36" long and 21" deep

Hello again Mr. Grim,
I am setting up a 40 breeder and I want to keep an all SPS tank, there is a ATI Sunpower fixture for sale right now but I would like to know what you think about these bulbs that are included with the fixture:

ATI Aquablue Special X 2
UV Super Actinic X 2
KZ Fiji Purple X 1
ATI Blue Plus X 1

Will these be more like a 14K look or like 20K look?

Also, this would be my first T5 fixture, how long will the bulbs above last before they need replacement?

thank you again for all the help!

4 lamp ATI Sunpower would be good.

Should be around 14K. 10 months to a year on the lamps, closer to 10 months because of the actinics, not a lot of PAR from them to begin with.

hi guys, do you guys know anything about the sunlight supply tek t5 fixtures?
i have been thinking about maybe ordering a 8-80w t5 fixture for the aga 210
do you know any 60"-72" fixtures that have moonlights in the fixture?
let me know and thanks

You couldn't keep high light critters anywhere but on top of the rocks with that fixture. There isn't a lot as far as 60 and 72" T5 fixtures other than the 60" ATI's that will support high light critters in a tank that tall.

Hey Grim...thanks for all you do on this thread. It seems like a fulltime job.

I have a 72 x 18 x 27 150 gallon SPS and Clam Display. I currently run 3 Radium 400 watt bulbs on Galaxy ballasts supplemented with VHO actinics. I love the look but I hate the heat generated and the electric bill.

Because the tank has only one crossmember in the middle I was thinking about two 36" 8 bulb ATI Sunpower fixtures.

Since my tank is 27" tall and my aquascape is only 13" off the sandbed, my first question is would this be enough light for all my SPS and clams on the sandbed?

Secondly, I love the look I have now but would like just a little more pop in my red tabling acro and red monti cap. Assuming that this would be enough light, what bulb combination would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Nice to see you are still offering bulb advice after all these years!

I'm finally converting over to T-5's after running my MH's and VHO combo. I liked the look of the Radium 20K and actinic VHO's I've been running for the past few years.

I'm now moving to a 12 bulb 39W Sfiligoi fixture. What bulb combo should I be looking for? I run a mixed LPS and SPS 4x3x2 tank and would love to see some of the reds, pinks and golds pop!

Thanks in advance!

I'd probably go for 6 lamp Powermodules instead. A little better peak PAR. With 8 lamps over a 18" tank you are wasting a bit of the light from the front and rear lamps unless you sit the fixture right on top of the tank.
