The Twins Aquarium thread

It's a bad pic, most of the polyps are dark green, with some brownish orange polyps scattered throughout. I saw them around the time you guys got yours so I know know it has potential, I think there were still a couple more pieces, or they may have been a different color morph, hard to tell now that everything has been there so long.

I kinda thought there was another color morph also. You should get it so we can see what color it will turn into. :)

There was another color morph. I went back to get one of the blue ones and almost left with the wrong one thinking it was just browned out. I think John said the other one has purple polyps.

The first one I bought for myself didn't have any orange polyps. I had no idea what Bryan was talking about when he said it has green and orange polyps. The funny thing is that around where a worm comes through the coral to feed and irritates it looks like it is developing orange polyps. The second one I got had small patches of orange polyps, but none were on the edge and not near as extensive as Jacob's picture. It may be my imagination, but I think those patches are decreasing in size. It will definitely be interesting to see how they all change.

was there yesterday to pick up the mesh. He didn't really have anything new.

I did pick up a 1 head of yuma, a frag of netphea (sp?), and red mushroom for almost free. I guess it pays to be a long time customer.

I stopped by there today and John did'nt have much. There was some pretty cool looking yumas though. I picked up a cool looking elegence.

Went here today also didn't see anything I wanted...I'm more lookin' into fish for the time being but maybe one day be like you guys...discount pet had a few fish I liked...

Just came from Twins. They have a decent amount of corals and fish in right now. John just set up a ricordia tank on the opposite side from the halide lit tanks, this one is also lit by halides. He had a few yellow and purple ricordia (florida species), I couldn't resist and grabbed one. Also got a blue one. He has a handfull of ricordia yuma in there but I couldn't tell the color too well, he just scooped them out of the other tank and put them in there.

Sorry, I appreciate that this thread is a good source of timely info for locals but I didn't have the patience to wade through 8 pages of year old postings saying: "John's got blastos today." So if the question has already been asked, please pardon.

Do they have a website?

Thanks.

There's really no reason to go back and look at any threads besides the most recent. Besides if they had a website the locals wouldn't get all the good stuff any more... or at least not at the prices we get them for :D

There were some acans at Twins, and a couple micromussa. One of the micros was pretty nice, but pricey. Lots of ricordias right now too.
