The Twins Aquarium thread

I personally didn't see anything new...same shrooms as always...he had some tanks with the lights out so a lot of stuff was closed up...this was on Sunday

Nice to know that somebody started a thread about John and Twins Aquarium, even though this thread is a couple years old i just discovered it. Anyways, i just wanted to say that i've been going to John since his Flea Market days back in the 80's, and since he was on the knicker bocker side of the shopping center. Even though I left stockton 10 years ago, he still Remembers me every time I'm in town and stop by the store, such a great guy

Wow... all the way from AZ! Yeah John is a good guy and his store is a cool shop, you never know what you'll find there on any given day.

Thanks man!

I picked up a randell shrimp and yasha goby pair from him a while back too but the goby didn't make it. Luckily, the new watchmen goby I got did and he paired up with the shrimp almost instanly.

I love watching them share the borrows. Coolest thing to see.

Time to bring it back to life for 2009!

I was there today. Of interest were a couple of OK lobo's, a couple of nice acans, a nice blue and red blasto.

I stopped in today too.

John told me his distributor is closed for the holidays. wont be able to order my new tank until next week :(

had to resist buying some cichlids (my FW tank had a disasterous ick outbreak over thanksgiving, lost half my fish). Pam Chin will be giving the Part 2 talk on Lake Malawi cichlids at the next SAS meeting, I'll see what she brings in. She brought in some nice ones last meeting but the throes of ick still present in my tank prevented me from bidding.

So I checked out the tanks. the gears are smokin in my head on what I can do with some of them :)

Yeah that's the only thing about getting money for Christmas and wanting to spend, spend, spend, all teh wholesalers take the time off.

John has new small tank setups.
Blue Ocean 12
Basically a taller 10g (says its a 12g tank) with hood, a single 14w T5 plant bulb and filter. Not sure who makes it. the bulb and filter is the Odyssea brand but cant find other info. Aquatraders has zip.

It would make a nice tank 'cept where to get replacement bulbs?
Still, would make a nice small FW tank, or a FO tank, even a good cheap hospital or QT.

Was there today...Nada new on fish but there was some corals (SPS frags) that I did not notice last week. Might of been a milli or something. But I'm horrible at naming SPS.

They were in the tank with the halides on the middle right side.

I went to Twins today. He had some nice little bluish/green clown gobies and other type of gobies. He also had some nice wrasses that I've never really seen. Smaller sized ones some what looks like a Fairys but I'm no expert.
