not exactly sure what i posted and what i viloated can a moderator send me a pm with the info so i do not repeat myself

alexsreef, thank you very much! My first reef was a 40 Breeder. It's really a nice size. If you can, go for the 50 Breeder for that lil extra space. ;)

mtc1966, I was a bit confused about why your post was removed. If I remember correctly, all you did was compliment the tank and ask for a frag of my Fiji Leather(if it gets fragged).

In fact you asked the same thing in the CTARS forum and no action was taken.
I'll have to reread the TOS for the site, as they may have modified something.

Like I said, I do have what I think is a baby from the Fiji growing in my expansion tank. I had to set up an extra tank just so I could trim back some of the Kenya Tree. I'll let you know how it does. :beachbum:

Since I've decided to move the 57g Illuminata upstairs, I've been working on making space in our living room. I've been vacillating over how and where to set it up.

Tonight I drained the expansion tank. I've put off a water change for far too long, especially considering I just got around to sending out my skimmer pump for replacement. I did an almost 50g water change, and siphoned out a good accumulation of detritus from the overflow and sump.

It looks like WW3 in my basement. :)

I tried to get a few pics under the moonlights. The center rock houses my Fiji Yellow Leather, Orange Cap, Duncans, and Hammer. These have all grown wonderfully. The Fiji is 13" x 9" The Duncans are 50+ heads and larger than a softball. The Hammer is also Softball sized. The orange cap is starting on it's 3rd level.

A fellow reefer stopped by this weekend so I took the opportunity to clean the tank while we shot the breeze. The tank looked pretty good so I took a quick video last night. I hope everyone enjoys.

Romulox234- thank you so much for the kind words!

I did a tremendous amount of work on the tank tonight. Since I picked up new corals at Greenwich Aquaria's yearly sale, I needed to make room.

While everything was acclimating, I took to reworking the tank. I had some Aiptasia to deal with, and there were two patches of hydroids that I painstakingly removed. I dipped some of my shrooms for a second time.

My hammer coral was really infested. I worked the piece out of the tank and gave it a Revive/ Iodine dip. I then gave it a short fresh water dip. This process took off tons of flatworms.

I dipped as many infested mushrooms as I could find as well.

I also dipped all of my Zoanthids. Some algae and hydroids had held back their growth, so I cleansed the rock of everything I could find. My zoas were also being shaded by my Anthelia. So I removed the rock work, dipped, and reworked the entire left side of my tank.

I'm quite pleased that all of my Zoas are now all on cascading rock work, and none are shaded. I then took out my pastel zoas and chiseled off the piece with brown polyps. I organized all my frags onto the right side of the tank near the overflow.

I also started moving some small pieces of rock around for the tank upstairs.

I also performed a quick pruning of the tank. This consisted of pruning back mainly Kenya Tree. This is the second major clearing out of rogue Kenya Tree in order to keep that open, clean look.

New Additions- Bimac Anthias and Pink Tube Anemone:

Unfortunately, the smaller Anthias I picked up from Greenwich Aquaria this weekend went overboard. I was totally bummed. :(

New Additions- Green and Purple/w white polyp Toadstool Colonies and Small Finger Leather:

A buddy came over with some frags and a nice piece of baby blue with pink eyed
Chalice and some Millepora frags for the new Illuminata tank. I had cleaned the tank earlier and did a 25 gallon water change. I performed my regular 2 part ESV buff and Magnesium and Iodine doses. The tank really looked stellar tonight, so I took some new videos. The left center, underneath the Anthelia is completed cleared out, and I rebuilt the rocks on the left side of the tank. It feels much better:

Good night Reef:

I've decided to take some fellow reefers advice and dose some Flatworm Exit. Since I've dipped and eliminated the majority of the red planaria, I agree now is the time to hit the tank.

Another thing I've been more diligent about is getting the fish fed at least twice a day. Since I have both the Lamarck and the Bimac, this is a necessity.

Ya know, if you keep putting up all those cool videos, you're going to "inspire" me to get a video camera of some sort. I can't afford that right now! :)
