Roger,
I'm really interested in getting a Tunze wavemaker for my tank. I currently have a Oceanic 72 bowfront reef ready tank with three 1200 Maxi-jet powerheads on a Digital Aquatics reef keeper. I also have a 3 inch sand bed.
The powerheads have already carved out the sand in the front of the tank but it has settled. Because the reef keeper has wave maker capability I only have 2 pumps turned on at a time rotating between the three.
I have a Mag 7 driving my return water back up to the tank at about 480 GPH.
My question is will the Tunze wavemaker, work on the dimensions of the bowfront, and in my case a 72 gallon. All the videos from this thread show rectangular tanks without curves, that make up bowfront tanks. Is this overkill in water movement? Do you recommend the tunze stream instead? If so, what size?
Thanks,
Mike
