The Wireless Wave Driver is Coming

Sounds great, I will be ordering a couple controllers asap.

Regarding the wireless - I have a few things I'd just like to make sure will be OK. My B2 controller has an SMS module that calls/texts, will that be OK? Also I'm hooking up a laptop in that room for the B2 and it will be wirelessly linked to the internet (using Apple products). I use my cell phone which also picks up wi-fi and use it in that room frequently (same Mac internet connection) - and last, both my wife and I use Bluetooth products. All OK?

Also, regarding the backup power supply - how will this work with the new drivers? Would we hook the master to the power supply and what mode will it switch to in the event of a power outtage - and will it switch back when power is restored?

Thanks

Tim,

Will the battery backup work the same way? That is, upon a power outage, automatically reduce to 50% power (or remain at the set power if less than 50%)? Or will the current wave setting continue at a reduced power?

The Battery Backup will work with the Wireless Wave Driver in the same way as before. The mode settings that the pumps are run in are all saved so during power outages (with or without a battery backup) there will be no need to re-program your pumps again. They will simply turn back on (or come off of battery backup mode if the battery backup is installed )in their prior state.

Are all these OK? Wi-Fi close by and Bluetooth? I guess SMS is no problem as really its just a cell phone call or message.

Please let me know so I can get these ordered - thanks!

Cool look. After seeing it though couple more questions?I don't see a display. How do you know what mode you are in? Or what power level you are at in the various modes? And like manderx I was wondering if modes can be switched? Use pulse mode 5 min every hr etc.

let's say i get three of these, can i have two on one side on the same phase while the other on the opposite is off to offer a back and forth motion?

The pump will operate the same as before to maximize run-time during a power outage.

The interface is through the potentiometer, two buttons and the RGB led located below the light bar. The LED's will let you know modes, errors, conditions, etc. There will be a flow chart on the back of each driver, and also an extra sticker in the box to put on your stand. Modes cannot be switched other than by manually pressing the buttons to enter into new modes.

Absolutely, that's precisely what it's designed to do.

by Giovanni If I order today, will I be charged the $100 today or when it ships?

If you order now you are billed now. Limited numbers begin to ship on September 1st. Scott from Aquarium Specialty can comment more on billing once he returns from vacation.

you will not have any problem, the FCC regulates wireless protocalls you will be fine. there is nothing in wireless that disrupts bluetooth. and wireless internet signals cross eachother all the time with no issues i promise.

Tim,

A vague statement like "limited quantities" combined with billing in advance of shipping makes me worry that Scott could have my money for some time before I get the drivers. I am sure no one wants that.

So if I pre order today, what assurance do I have of getting a driver on Sep. 1, 2007??

yea im wondering if i should have ordered and not gone and told everybody about it first...

i only need one aquarium specialty, send me one first! lol

We're well along schedule and we always do everything we can to meet the deadlines that we set. However, I cannot predict the future thus my comment of 'limited supply available starting September 1st.' It is your decision whether you would like to buy now or wait until we are closer to that date. Your primary risk is being further down the list of customers who requested an upgrade and thus the whole process taking longer for you.

Further, depending on how popular this upgrade turns out to be, we may have to "pause" the upgrade offer for a week or two while we build more inventory.
