well, I know I'll have at least 7 when this new controller comes out...only time will tell on more. I would run mine at full blast and I got to figure that some of you guys aren't doing that. :D

I am getting Penductors for my return lines too.

im going to be running 2 at full blast in my 50g with 3 tunze nano stream.

i know some people are scared to turn the pump up,,, not I

Don't you think that will damage the coral tissue? I recently saw tissue damaged caused by a coral being to close to a Tunze Turbelle...

I was at a LFS (T&T) in Houston and they had those pumps cranked all the way up. I couldnt believe how close the corals were and they were loving it. I would of thought the flesh would of been torn off with such strong flow aimed at the SPS.

i have plenty of coral directly in the path 4 to 6 inches and they are loving the vortech, sps of course but also some xenia and zoas and everything is happy, i think in the end i will end up with 3 of the vortechs.

also i run my vortech at full speed 8 inches from the top of the tank and no air tornados... every time i walk by my tank i think wow thats amazing.

Edward get one on your tank asap :)

I think 6" would make my clams flutter away like birds!

my clams are not directly in the flow they are close though. and they are fine.

How did you do that? I had several corals get severely damaged by a Vortech 9" away running at 50% max. From tissue blownoff to branches flattening out. The constant laminar flow really hurt. That's why I really needed the controllers.

i have 4 tunze nano streams the flow is very random not overly laminar.

Gotta have flow bouncing it away. I have two of mine about 6" away and it tore the flesh off some caps but it's at the base and I'm not worried. But yes, if they are 6" within range, they will blast flesh off if no other flow bounces it around.

I had no other flow. I was ok until I could no longer use the AC jr wavemaker. Now the AEFW solved my problem for me.:( At least when I start back up I'll have the controllers.

Since 8/15/07 It has been 21 days since the initial news about the new controller. Barely how long it takes to cycle a tank.

I really think asking politely every day for an update is uncalled for. Throughout the 21 days, we've gotten a number of replies on their status, as recently as two days ago. I'm positive as soon as EcoTech has good news to share, we'll find it in this forum.

melev,

Is there something against RC policy that says I cannot ask that question politely every day until I get an answer?

Tim and the EcoTech Team will answer your question when they have an answer. As he stated quite clearly they are awaiting final approval from the FCC. This could be one day or one month. It would be pointless to give a wild guess. He is working diligently on this issue and does not have time to keep answering repeat questions daily.

melev,

No. :)

Do you actually think EcoTech is going to forget to give us any solid news when they have it?

Not approved by FCC!!!

Not approved by FCC!!!

With out final approval from FCC, how could EcoTech Marine already tried to sell the WWD and they even charged us for it!!! This is shady!!!

Ecotech can you post a video of the new driver in action for us. It would be great for us who cant make the event coming up.

Did you see the part about getting a refund!!
If you are not satisfied by all means get youself a refund.
Get the facts before questioning someones integrity!!
