Things that bothered me at RAP!!!

So are acropora, mushrooms, zoanthids, leathers, montipora... but that doesn't mean 50 polyps of shrooms should be as much as 10 polyps. Plus they agreed to pay $5 a head before hand.
Backing out of a deal= Uncool.
I accidentally bought a motorcycle on ebay and you know what? I'm gonna find a way to pay for it. Even though I just went to RAP and now have nothing in my bank account... oh god what did I do? Man I bet if I showed up on that bike I could have taken a girl home instead of some lousy pocillopora!!!

I ended up bringing it back home. It will regenerate.. my tank is built for xenia. I will be growing blue xenia soon and taking down the market

less actually. joins scmas and go on their annual tripp to the wholesalers to get an idea on the markup. most lfs give good credit on xenia because they know that its hardy and can sell it fast. 50+ heads xenia i honestly would not pay more then 40.00 just because i know how fast it can grow. but if i had an lfs and can sell frags of it for 3 heads at 10.00 you do the math... not to say that that is their intention. they may want to set up a fuge with xenia only..

BTW I read an article where Canadian police found a huge link between star trekkie and pedophilia. apparently somewhere like 80% of the pedophiles they arrest have a star trekkie collection

I did get to meet you today. You seem like a nice kid, and I feel your frustration. I know you sunk in a lot of tickets for the raffle. Just some thoughts on your 4 comments:
#1 It does seem unfair, but it's pretty much out of the vendor's hands. As a friend of this vendor, I feel it was good karma that he won those prizes. He donates A LOT of himself and product to our reefing community, and has been through hell this year trying to make his store successful. I was there during your initial conversation with him, and didn't really notice any smugness on his part. I understand though, that your perception may have been clouded by how much you wanted that BM
#2 We as hobbyists, dictate the market. So, we really can't put the blame on them. This is not an easy business to be in, and since vendor's livelihood can depend on this, they'd want to make the most out of their trade.
#3 YES! I can only look at so many corals at a time, so the additional eye candy was a bonus.
#4 I'M AN SPS GUY!
Looking forward to hanging out with you SoCal'rs again at SW-CFM!

You don't think I know the prices of wholesalers when I've been selling xenia for a while? LFS sell frags of xenia (3heads) for like 25 dollars easily. 50 heads/$40 store credit is a joke and what you probably missed is that he said
"We are looking for pompom pulsing xenia. We are offering $5 cash for a full size stock or $7.5 in credit. Please bring them mounted…………."
A lot of people wouldn't pay $40 dollars for 50 heads of xenia and a lot of people wouldn't pay $30 dollars for a nuclear green paly but when you say something like that ^^ above, a deal is a deal and what he did was straight up low ball me.
