Thinking about ordering a Profilux, what kit do I need ???

I was originally waiting to order a RKE but I am SOOOO sick of waiting for them and they cant even tell me if it will control my Tunze's, so I'm looking at a Profilux instead. I currently have the following power requirements and would like to have room for more in the future.....

1. MH1 (250w dimmable ballast)
2. MH2 (250w dimmable ballast)
3. MH3 (250w dimmable ballast)
4. Actinic (2x160w 7' VHO)
5. Canopy fans
6. Tunze 6101
7. Tunze 6101
8. Heater
9. Return pump
10. Skimmer pump
11. Skimmer pump
12. Fuge light
13. Sump fan
14. Kalk Reactor

I planned on adding more Tunze streams, a Ca reactor when I needed one, some LED night lighting, and i'm sure there will be another thing here or there.

My main concerns are just for the basics right now, like timing, being able to turn fans on at certain temps, lights off above certain temps, monitoring temp and and those basic things, but would eventually get into all the internet based stuff in no time I'm sure....

So what kit would be the best bang for my buck ??? I'm guessing I would need another 6 plug power strip at least, what about the high power outlets, are they needed for the 250w halides, or only when you get into the 400w versions ???

Thanks in advance,

Doug

Tunze don't require a outlet on the powerbar, just need the cable to control them them and you can control up to 8.

And if I was really serious I would get on the phone now and try to get the last unit they had @ 599$ I know they had one left..... It's a very very good deal

Hiya

Give me a call tomorrow we can talk you through all your needs, we are the North American distributors, and once we assertain your requirements can put you in touch with a reputable stock holding dealer.

But give me 5 mins and I will look more closely at your requirments listed above and give you a quick break down.

This is what i suggest to get you started.

There is ONE special deal starter pack still available this gives you for $599

Temp control
pH control
Level control
6 way digital power bar (daisy chainable to further power bars)
Tunze stream control (cable not included)
pC hook up
And of course the huge amount of already built in timing features and other locked in features the ProfiLux and software has to offer.

Your main requirement seems to be lighting at this time and doing a quick calculation you have 9.72amps of light current draw. I would suggest putting your lights on a seperate power bar, possibly adding a 4 way power bar to this kit, thus leaving the 6 way fully available for your heater, other pumps etc etc.

With regards to the Tunze, the cables are not expensive at around $12.99, you would need two and a splitter so for around $30 you can have full Tunze stream control and a huge amount of advance features the profilux control software provides you for this, total control of Tunzes amounts to 8 pumps!

Thats my brief breakdown of your needs, there is then canopy fans and LEd lighting options where GHL really I feel is the king here, with moon lighting , sunrise, storm lightening effects. And full moon phase simulations.

Hope thats enough info for now, but please give us a call and we can discuss further, we are on eastern time

Best wishes
Michael

I forgot to add, and of course the profiLux plus II you get with the $599 deal is of course fully expandable to ALL GHL's massive list of functions available right now:)

So would you suggest getting (2) of the high amp power bars, or would (1) 4 way be enough to power the 3 metal halides and the VHO actinics ???

PM sent also AQD.... :D

Normally I would suggest the HIGH AMP but because you have an array of lighting on this occasion I would seperate all lights on the 4 way enabling you to switch all lights independantly and also isolating the lighting requirements from other parameters
