lets see i have been in the hobby for about 10 years i am 14 almost 15.I have a gsm and am wondering if i should get another one and would like to breed them. i have a 55 gallon aquarium with a 20 gallon sump i also have a 8 gallon bio cube and a 2.5gallon pico.i am in the process of making my own 16 gallon bow front (when i am done i will have some pics to show you. i just really want to know if this breeding thing is for me.i will also be able to pay for what ever i need to breed them. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great starting point would be to get the Clownfishes book by Wilkerson and read it a time or two. I myself am just getting my feet wet so I am not an expert but I am sure most of the people on this forum would agree to start there.

You would be much better off starting with a good pair of orange ocellaris. Maroon fry are one of the hardest to get past meta and maroons do not sell that well. IMO not worth the investment.

As mentioned above before you spend a dime on setting up for breeding anything spend $20 on Joyce's book. ( maybe nothing, xmas is comming) GSM's would be challenging to even pair up and certainly challenging to raise, and as stated are not as good a seller as normal ocellaris. Go for Nemo, you can't go wrong

I started with them and can only enforce what Atticus is posting. You need a high frustration tolerance and as the beast fight like little devils you also loose some just because of fighting.
