My father told me this when I was young and I believe it whole heartedly.
It is great to show application and thanks for our service men and women every day but today isn't about them. Today is about the men and women who never came home. It is Memorial day, not veterans day. All give some, some give all.
My father served the length of WWII in the Navy. He is gone now and I have the upmost respect for him but he came home and died an old man.
