Thoughts on the common shark egg in a 180?

I was wondering if the shark from one of the common shark eggs will be okay in a 180 for any amount of time or if it's a strict NO straight from the beginning. I understand they need much larger tanks but is that when full grown? Will a juvenile be okay in a 180 or not really?

I read somewhere that for feeding purposes some shark keepers keep the pups in tanks as small as 55 gallons to ensure that they're getting enough to eat in order to bulk them up. So I imagine a pup would be ok in a 180 for a while, but would definitely recommend a larger tank as it grows out.

The egg would be fine in a biocube until it hatches, then there are all sorts of things to take into consideration aside from tank size...

i raised a pup in 400 gallon and it was quite a task to feed him

Getting a pup to survive after hatching is no small feat.. Tank mates are a big consideration, Angels and tangs are likely to pick at a pup especially thier eyes which will result in a bacterial infection and loss of eye and most likely death of the shark. Feeding a shark is also something to consider, it's generally easy to feed them and make sure they are eating (enough) in a smaller tank, but when they go into a larger tank are usually out competed for food (especially when small). They are also nocturnal which makes smaller fish a meal once a shark reaches a certain size... I'm not a expert but those are the first things that come to mind. Maybe Alprazo,Zoodiver or gries will add their actual expertise

Shark will grow fast. I raised two from eggs and you will have issues in a year or two
